| Well MITB wasn't great but delighted to see Ziggler win the ladder match. Well deserved.
Punk v Bryan didn't really work with AJ in there. Should have let them get on with it.
I also won a couple of bets on it so happy days all round.

| I didn't think it was that bad an event.
I've said before that AJ added to the Punk/Bryan feud wouldn't be a problem if they weren't already feuding over the wwe title. All it does is make the title less important than some mental lass.
Out of the guys in their match I'm glad Ziggler won. I was hoping it was between him, Rhodes and Kidd as those are the 3 guys who have the potential to be big stars so long as they actually get some protection. That does not include getting booted in the face when trying to cash in the briefcase

| I enjoyed MiTB,
Glad that Ziggler won. The guy is so over its ridiculous.
The Punk and Bryan match was excellent, as these 2 normally are. AJ played her part well, again, and didn't involve to much. (the spot of putting the chair in the middle of them was nice)
As for the other MiTB match it was obvious Cena would win, but again I found the match enjoyable.
On a side note, sticking Sin Cara in the MiTB was always going to result in some botches.

They were the only 3 who could realistically win it. Barrett would have got it if he was in the match though IMO. Can't wait for him to return.
I'd love tonight's WWE Legend to be Steiner, it'd be a thing of beauty.

I think a lot of Sin Cara's botches are the fault of his mask. Reading one of Chris Jericho's books he makes mention of his time in Japan and he was going to be Justin Ligar's evil twin, which resulted in him being under a mask which he claims was impossible to see out of which lead to a terrible match and an quick end to the angle.

| I just thought the ladder matches were boring. MITB matches have gone really downhill, they're done all wrong. They're not matches. Punk v Bryan in a ladder match would have been interesting.

| Really good Raw last night.
It was actually well booked and had angles that made sense for a change and ended with a great hook to get people to watch next week and setup for Summerslam

| At the time I loved it when DX reunited (HHH, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and XPac but not Chyna) on Raw in late 99 and beat down Austin and Rock. However when you look back now you kinda feel like all involved (inc Tori at a later stage) where presented as lackies for HHH (who was getting over huge admittedly).
As an old-school Raw fan I have two great memories before the Attitude Era too:
A young rookie named The 123 Kid (who would become Xpac years later) cleanly pinning established star Razor Ramon (Scott Hall).
Marty Jannetty returning and pinning his old tag-team partner HBK for the IC belt (which IMO meant so much more back then than the belt does now).

You mean 'The Kid'? He only became the 1-2-3 kid after picking up said win
Was a really good feud between the two IIRC as well.

I stand corrected. Absolutely, and who knows its something that could perhaps still work today if it was done correctly - put a young unproven guy over an established star to get 'the rub.' It certainly didn't harm Ramon's WWF career.
Re Raw, I think the return of 'DX' (at the moment they're only advertising HBK and HHH for this) would be 10x better if the rumours are true about the Outlaws also being there on Mon, anyone agree?
Hey did anyone watch the C4 doc on British wrestling (the Knight family) last night?

Well I have to say that despite the way 'Superman' Cena has ran WWE since 2005 I was still shocked he won at closed the show at MITB. FFS, how long is this guy's run gonna last? Okay he seems a nice bloke and yes he's a great role model for kids, but to have sacrificed so many guys to him over the years is just criminal. I suppose though that for as long as his merch shifts his run will continue. Speaking of which, he must have matched Austin and Rock's sales by now, simply because Cena's main event run has lasted double the time of each of theirs.
I think I read a rumour by the way that a new WWE title belt may be appearing for the first time at RAW 1000 to finally end the spinner belt. Unfortunately from the pic I saw it still looks awful, bring back Bret Hart's 'winged-eagle' title I say, best belt ever.

It does seem strange that they referenced the design on Monday night. Just like everything else, the old school belts were the best designs by far. When Cody Rhodes brought the old IC title back I was hoping they were going to revert to type on them all. The new tag titles for example are woeful compared to the early 90's ones.

Definitely, I'd even go further and say that the current tag titles and spinner belt don't even really look like wrestling belts (same with the Divas belt actually!). If they hadn't brought back the awesome IC belt I'd say maybe all these new ones were another attempt to distance themselves from 'wrestling' as much as possible, something I don't feel they'll ever be able to do.
Hey WWE sure have embraced social media lately haven't they, considering a year or two ago they slated it and the people who used it were 'nerds.' (anything to improve business eh Vince).
I'm sorry, just realised that my last few posts about wrestling have all been negative. On a positive note, the C4 documentary was excellent and gave an honest and accurate picture of a particular British wrestling family (the Knights). The youngest of the family (Britani) is apparently doing well on NXT at the moment as Paige (remarkable for a 19 year old Brit to get that far so quick IMO), and am also looking forward to Mystery & Mayhem at the Bonus Arena this Sunday, finally seeing Kendo Negasaki in person 19 years after he failed to appear as advertised at Hull City Hall.

IIRC she's been aligned with Raquel Diaz (Shaul Guerrero, daughter of Eddie & Vickie) or was at first anyway.
Kenneth Cameron of the Ascension comes from that well known wrestling hotbed of Chesterfield also. He practically stole my brother's dream.
Edit: This article just popped up on my news feed: www.wrestlezone.com/news/258209- ... -on-hennig

Plus I dislike Cena immensely.

Why?
Cena has beaten Lesnar, Kane, Big Show, etc etc.
I would like to see Punk retain at least until Summerslam though.

Because Punk has been putting in the hard graft whilst having to see his title matches play 2nd fiddle to "The John Cena Monthly Feud Main Event Show".
In February it was Kane in a f****** Ambulance Match (who Cena actually tagged with two weeks ago) whilst the WWE title was the FIRST match at Elimination Chamber, in March it was the Rock at WrestleMania, in April it was Lesnar in an Extreme Rules match (in Punks home town), in May it was John F****** Laryngitis, in June it was the Big Show and this month it was (surprise surprise) Cena winning MITB.
It's getting boring, man.
Quote ="richardviking"Cena has beaten Lesnar, Kane, Big Show, etc etc.'"
Didn't beat the Rock though, and that was a bigger match than any of the above put together.
Quote ="richardviking"I would like to see Punk retain at least until Summerslam though.'"
I would like to see that too, but I highly doubt they would have Cena become the only guy to fail to win the title when cashing in the briefcase (that accolade will probably unfortunately go to Ziggler), so no doubt Cena will win the title hence it makes a mockery of Punk's reign because as soon as he comes up against Cena for the first time since he's held the title, then Cena is probably going to win the strap.
