Dale Tallon yet again does a fantastic job of messing up in trade deal

Anaheim traded C Samuel Pahlsson, D Logan Stephenson and a conditional pick in the 2009 Entry Draft to Chicago for D James Wisniewski and C Petri Kontiola!

Have to say I'm really pee'd off the Hawks have traded Wisniewski, I thought he was a very useful player and chipped in with important pts.
He has notched 13pts in 32 games this season and Pahlsson has only got 15pts in 52 games which is poor for a C against a D man. Pahlsson is getting to the end of his career and Wisniewski is just getting to his prime.
If they wanted a veteran centre I'd rather they went for Moore who the Leafs traded to Buffalo as he would have been a much better option without giving too much away.

Can't see how this trade makes the Hawks stronger at all only weaker. The sooner Tallon is told to leave well alone with trades the better for me. Tallon has also failed to get Havlat to a new deal so Havlat is most likely going to test the free agent market and he's failed to do anything with Khabibulin so he'll more than likely walk for nothing come July 1st.

Nik Antropov joins the Rangers, the Leafs getting a second-round draft choice and another conditional pick and the Leafs traded Dominic Moore to Buffalo for Carolina's 2nd-round pick in the 2009 Entry Draft (previously acquired).

Leafs also claimed G Martin Gerber from the Sens and D Erik Reitz from the Rangers on waiver.

Thats the sort of deal Tallon should have done, instead of taking Pahlsson for Wisniewski, still can't believe that deal. The Ducks have got rid of an average centre for a decent D man who can play and mix it up if needed. Tallon shafted the Hawks organisation on this deal.
Moore would have been the ideal veteran centre to bring in to the Hawks camp and improve them for the late season run and play-offs.

Bruins beat the Blackhawks 5-3

Bad weekend for the Hawks after losing to the Bruins they get easily beaten at home by the worst team in the western conference (Avs)5-1.

The Hawks just seem to be treading water at the moment,they can't get higher than 4th and until recently they had a big lead over the 5th placed team but they need to start picking it up again or the rest of the teams will be catching them up in the standings.

Seems the team have suffered from losing a well liked & popular character in Wisneiwski. Sounds like Pahlsson may still be a couple of weeks from icing for the Hawks.
Hopefully Hawks are just settling for 4th place and home advantage now. Quennville didn't sound a happy guy by his comments. Worry is now Havlat may be out for a while.

I see a lot of games went to OT and SO again last night giving points to both teams.I think it makes for a close playoff race but I think it's time to give more incentive to teams to win in regulation so it should be 3pts for a win in 60 mins and 2pts for a win in OT or SO.

Chicago lose again last night and what these last few weeks have shown is that Khabby will be the starter in the playoffs as Huet hasn't stepped up while Khabby has been injured.

Hawks lose again this time to the Devils making it a season high 3 game losing streak. Since Wisneiwski was traded the Hawks have been poor, admittedly they are missing Sharp but thats no excuse for the poor performances. Its as if they have given up for the season.

Hopefully Quenneville can regather the players and get them to focus for the remaining games of the season to keep hold of home advantage for the first round of the playoffs.

Still think questions need to be asked why Tallon traded Wisneiwski for Pahlsson as this seems to have ripped some of the heart out of the team.

Had recorded the game and watched it last night. Admittedly, I haven't seen too much of the Hawks this season, but they didn't look like the team I saw earlier in the season.

Make that now a season high 4 game losing streak for the Hawks after getting beat by the BJ's.

Hawks snap their 5 game losing run with a 4-1 win at home against the Kings.

Pat Sharp in his first game back after missing the last 16 games get 2 goals and an assist.

An important win as it takes them back above the Canucks in the race for a home play off berth. Hopefully now Sharp & Khabibulin are back the Hawks can get on a roll for the play offs.

Leafs get a 3-2 SO win against the Caps in Toronto. Caps made it 2-2 with 57 secs of the game remaining, whereupon Gerber got thrown out of the game for pushing an official. On comes CuJo and has an absolute blinder, making 9 saves in his 5:57 on ice and not conceding a goal in the SO, Hamilton getting the Leafs winner

The Hawks beat the Sharks 6-5 in a SO last night after letting 4-1 and 5-3 leads slip.That win puts us 2 points back ahead of the Canucks in the race for the 4th seed in the playoffs with a big game coming up on Sunday against them.

Because of the schoolboy basketball on ESPNA I only got to see the 3rd period of this game on ESPNA extra and even then they lost the signal with 5 mins left

Another poor performance at home by the Blackhawks this time against their most likely play off opponents the Canucks.

Vancouver shut out the Hawks 4-0 on Chicago, unless the Hawks gets back to doing what they were at the start of the season the playoffs will be a short lived thing.
