| How to deal with a tool like Sean Avery....
Quote In 2006 Avery was involved in a confrontation with Anaheim broadcaster, and former NHL goaltender, Brian Hayward, who accused Avery of shying away from fighting Anaheim's Todd Fedoruk. Avery started with: "You're the reason the league doesn't have a national television deal. You're a (terrible) announcer and you were a (terrible) player." Hayward responded: "How would you know? When I played, you were in your third year of eighth grade."

| Good win for the Hawks against the Sens and a shutout from Hubet. Hawks took the game 2-0 with an apparently outstanding display from Hubet who is reported to have stepped up to the mark after pacthy form since his arrival in the Hawks camp. Looks as though the run of games has played a part in Hubets improved performances.

If he keeps playing well maybe the Hawks will trade Khabby at the trade deadline to get another scorer in for the playoffs.
Great news to see HNIC back on sat and even more amazing is it's the Habs 1st game up not the Leafs as it always used to be.

| Seems as though Mr Avery will no longer be a Dallas Star.
Good win for the Hawks against Columbus 3-1 and another great display from Huet between the pipes after letting in an early goal.

Best thing to happen to us when he left to join Dallas. It was good to see him winding up opponents on the ice, but his off ice antic were just pathetic and he came across as a right knob.

| The Hawks go to a five game winning streak after taking apart the Oilers with a 9-2 win. This is the Hawks best winning streak since 2000-01 season when they last made the playoffs.
Good news as Wisniewski returned to the ice for the first time this season after njury and picked up 3 assists.
The Hawks look a totally different team under Quenneville and ave picked up a steely resolve under his guidance.
Seems like Sundin will eventually make his mind up on what he is doing in the next 2 weeks, odds favour a move to the Canuck, Rangers and possibly the Hawks

Always had a soft spot for the Hawks since I followed the NHL back in '92. Had a great team back in the day; Belfour, Smith, Goulet, Roenick, Larmer, Chelios. They're my 2nd supporting team behind the Rangers so it's always good to see them doing well!

Some great names there including Dirk Graham, Brian Noonan & Hasek. The Hawks roster in the early 90's was good though but all it started to go downhill after about 97.

| OK guys, lets test you.
Tonight, The Avs beat Tampa Bay in a shoot out. Tampa shot first and after there 3rd try had not scored. The Avs had shot twice and had not scored but won. So there were 5 shoot out tries, no goals scored, but the Avs won. How did the Avs win?

Because the Bolts netminder was ruled to have thrown his stick as Hejduk was taking his shot. If on a penalty shot a stick is thrown the ref's can award the goal
I see Sundin has finally made up his mind and signed a 1 year deal with the Canucks "shock-horror"

| Chicago complete the sweep of western Canada with a 3-1 win against the Canucks last night. The way the Hawks are playing the game at Wrigley in a couple of weeks might be a battle for the division lead.

After watching the Hawks lately they look like a team that are going to be a real force in the next few years due to the young age.
They play with great attacking flair, have good defence and are running 4 lines every game. Against the Canucks they just look so fluid and when they do give teams a chance in front of goal Khabibulin & Huet are both on form snuffing out most of them.
Its unfair to pick anyone out but feel that the likes of Kane & Toews have been revelations to the Hawks and hard to think they were rookies last season. Also mention goes to Versteeg who's another rookie that has come in and looked the part on the ice.
Joel Quenneville has taken the team to a much higher level than Savard probably could have. They whole team really see to respond to his coaching and tactics and it is paying off big time and long may it continue. Would be nice to see the Hawks become Divisional Champions again as they haven't done that since it was the Norris Division.
Really looking forward to the game at Wrigley Field and feel the Hawks can really mount a serious challenge for Lord Stanley this season.

| The season just gets better and better for the Hawks.Yesterday they thrashed the previously red hot Flyers 5-1 and in the process tied a team record with their 8th win in a row and set a Hawks regular season record crowd with 22,712 watching the win.
