Hi,
Thought i'd start a MTB only thread.
So if anyone wants advice, wants to discuss good routes (as most MTB forums are southern based when most RL fans are up north it could work)
Also some buying/selling maybe?
No offence to the road cyclists, but it's not something I enjoy. Riding on the road frightens the life out of me. If I fall off road and hurt myself, it's my fault and at least i've seen what's done me coming!

You'll get some input from me on here as well fella I do both road and mountain. Ride a kona cadabra, but not as often as I'd like to. Due to work I need lots of notice to get out riding with people plus you have to drive everywhere so road biking is easier. Though only just back after being hit by a car last year. Live in tyldesley so not far from you.

Nice!!!!!!! they get really good write ups. Nearly bought one myself
The only place I know around here is Rivvy and healy nab. Go over to Lee Quarry sometimes, but i'm not that keen on it. I like a flowing bike ride and Lee doesn't give you that. Though I know it's good for sessioning and would improve my skills I just get bored there to quickly.
Go to Llandeglla when I can and still want to get to Gisburn as not been. Also like Whinlatter and Grizedale, but need people to go with really when you go that far up north.

Been to Delamere a few times but getting a bit bored of it now.
I was going to head towards North Wales today but bust my ankle playing football last night. Gutted.
I know Rivvy quite well being from Leigh and have got Healy Nab and Lee Quarry on my hitlist.

It's on the mend already, going to go out in a bit for a light ride, 10 miles maybe on gravel, see how it is.

Delemere is a great place, if you know how to find the good stuff - Basically anything off the main trails.
Love Rivington - Belmont Descent is the best downhill section close to us and really gets the adrenaline
This was my 1st attempt down there - youtu.be/V0VgURfWmxQ
I ride here most weekends and never get bored of it.
Healy Nab - Dont think its worth the extra ride time to get there.
Coed Llandegla - Awesome, especially since they opened the new stuff, just a shame about the 1st boring climb
Whinlatter - Best Trail ive been too, just a shame it's 1hr 40 to get there.
Going to Coed y Brenin next sunday, heard good things about it, hope its good as this is a 2hr journey.

I'm raising money for a kids charity that i'm close to through work. It's to give kids with life threatening illnesses a special day or wish. It gives the families of these kids a chance to get away from the mundane hospital visits and a nice memory that they can keep for a lifetime.
The challenge is to do the Manchester 100 mile bike ride on 3rd September.
If anyone is willing to spare a little cash, no matter how little it all makes a difference for such a small charity.
