Bored of the doom and gloom now, looking forward, what positives are there to look forward to.
Whoever gets the longest list wins the stale jammy dodger that the kids never found in the back of our cupboard.
I'll go first:
1/ it cant get much f×××ing worse.

At the end of the game on Wednesday, that's one less game left in this season.

Lam has had 5 good days to get them training the house down

then we get to see the look of wonder on his face when Leeds are running in their 7th try.

One day there'll be an "announcement" that Lam is leaving.

1-Friday just wasn’t a Wigan performance, so Wednesday is bound to be a Wigan performance.

2-We’re 4th in the league, how the bloody buggering hell are we 4th?!

3-Big bad Brad Singleton is back!

4-I should’ve been going to Turkey tomorrow for nearly three weeks. It’s 36 degrees there, beer on tap and the swimming pool is cold but luckily enough it’s on the red list, so I get to go on Wednesday night-lucky me I hear you cry!

5-Tony Clubb had a rest Friday, so good Lord, watch out Leeds! He’s coming for you!!

6-the seats might be blue and white in time for Wednesday

7-Lam played number 7 for us. Every time I see the number 7 after this season I’ll break out in a cold sweat but not yet! We’re still living it at the minute and I’m that numb I don’t scream when I see his face (that will come).

8-queue for the bar shouldn’t be as big on Wednesday.

9-we’re potentially just 5 games away from the end of Lams reign.

10-Even if it gets extended in to the play offs, it’ll just be 6 more games.

We’re still fourth in the league.
We’ve signed two big props for next season.
Crowds are back…it’s a privilege to watch live rugby in good weather.

Like Salty said. We're allowed crowds back. No RL clubs went under during COVID. We have two props coming in, Lam and Clubb going.

1. There will be a ‘new kit’ thread soon and somebody will mention Pertek and piping.

2. Guitar Warrior still looks like Phil Bailey.

3. Shaun Edward’s reputation is slowly being restored as people realise he did the right thing.

4. Despite being the better team on Friday St.Helens still have a statue of Andy Farrell outside their stadium.

5. Our new logo appears to have been accepted and when you squint it actually looks like a really cool Father Christmas.

6. Shaun Wane is rumoured to return so we will be hearing the following phrases more often next year ‘Tough’ ‘ Detail’ ‘Middles’ ‘Left Edge’ ‘Worsley Hall’

7. Kim Jong Un still owns a Wigan Warriors jersey

8. People can no longer blame Matty Smith for everything.

9. People can no longer blame David Hodgson for everything.

10. There will be a ‘Wane Out’ thread in March.

Talking of the new logo, my mum bought me some Wigan pyjamas for my birthday earlier (and yes I am 38 years old) and mentioned that she loves it. This is a women who doesn’t care much for rugby and prefers come dancing. I told her it went down like a fart in a lift with the fans but it suddenly dawned on me that we’ve been that bad this year, it’s taken everyone’s mind off the new badge.

It’s all been part of the plan!

i'm disappointed

but unfortunately so is Hastings.....

There’s a photo on Twitter going round of Jackson Hastings having his photo with a boy. No big deal at first but this lad has severe autism and managed to sit through his first RL game with his ear defenders on and seemingly enjoyed it. After another deflating and catastrophic loss it would have been really easy for JH to walk past or not even crack a serious smile on the photo but he did.

Sometimes it’s the small things. Us struggling to sit through a game because it’s so poor and this little boy managing to sit through his first with severe autism puts things into perspective.

It put a smile on my face!

I don't have to watch another live 1st team game until September 17th v Catalan. The Angel Bar Pefkos, Rhodes will be my viewing point for the next few matches, I'll be chairman of the barstool moaners.

Im a Leigh fan, There are worse things going on in the world at the minute than losing a sports match (or many), aslong as you and you're kids have a roof over your head, food in you're belly and you're health is OK then your already in a decent place. Rugby League is just a game.

If Wigan are playing there's every chance I'll have fallen asleep.
