| Please don't bring him back on for the 2nd half - a liability for the first 15. Needs at least 4 weeks of reserves on the back of that. Took him 5 seconds to do a 180 turn - he was getting mauled at the play the ball.
How on earth the coaching staff thought he was ready is beyond me.

Sadly i warned of G Burgess decline throughout the off season. He is nothing like the player he once was. Im not saying he wont get better (he cant not after that) but the talk of him being the best prop in the league is fantasy land.

| Sky reporter mentioned a potential hip injury, IIRC he missed the Leeds preseason game with a knock? Hope we've not signed a crock.

| Looks like injury to me but that raises the question on why he was picked carrying it. Poor coaching decision.

| He's had chronic hip issues over a number of years so we'll have to see how it affects him over the year. For the time being though there surely needs to.be some time in the reserves. It's not as if we're lacking prop forwards.

| Picked and picked to start! Crazy stuff really. If they knew he wasn’t right then maybe you’d forgive a bench spot at a push but not a starting spot. It very nearly cost us the game because sadly he was that bad.
How Bullock wasn’t selected tonight after two good performances against Leeds and Leigh is beyond me.

My thoughts exactly re Bullock, unless he had an injury in training I can think for the life of me why he wasn’t selected.

Don’t think Lams a fan, which I guess is down to training attitude. He looked in great shape in those pre season games, much fitter, slimmer and he was getting out better at marker. He was excellent at Leigh yet Lam said he was good ‘at times’, I knew then he wouldn’t be playing this week.
Looking at tonight Burgess needs some time to get right and then after that I thought Havard was excellent when he came on. Liam Byrne did well and Bullock should join those two in the side at Cas. I love Partingtons attitude but he lacks go forward and I’d probably just plump for Clubb over him.

| It’s one game so trying hard to make a judgement but that was a debut to have serious cause for concern about. He’s got a target on him and he’ll get bounced around the league like a rag doll if his conditioning remains so poor.

You can only hope it was the hip problem making him struggle rather than his overall fitness levels because he looked like somebody we’d just dragged out the pub. I’ve never seen a player as off the pace as that in my time watching rugby league. He was goosed after the first set of 6.
It was that bad I’m inclined to think there must be an injury problem because it wasn’t normal.

| Looked very much like a player who hasn't played for 6 months. Like others, I'm struggling to see how Bullock doesn't get in ahead of him. Harvard was a massive positive though. If we'd signed him with a big rep we'd have been happy with that. For a young lad coming up from the reserves it was outstanding. Much more to come from him I reckon. This year's 'bolter' perhaps?

He was definitely limping as the players came round the field at the end.

I said on here yesterday I felt Havard would be the player to knock the door down when he got a shot and he didn’t let that opinion down. He’s got such a great physique for a modern day rugby league prop. He reminds me of a young Stuart Fielden in that regard. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if he’s a starter at Wigan come the end of the season and even if he was a bolter in the England squad.
If we go with 5 props again next week then I’d go Byrne, Partington, Havard, Clubb and Bullock.

We’re in a position with the depth in the prop position that we can give him as long as needed to get right. Let him rest it up and then build up fitness in the reserves. If it takes a month to six weeks then so be it.

I have never seen anything like that in watching Wigan in over 50 years.
Whoever said he should have played tonight needs firing.
If the guys injured he shouldn't have played.
He looked like he was carrying a wardrobe.

Closest I’ve seen was Johnny Vegas turning out for Saints. I jest but it was honestly as baffling a performance as I’ve seen. No full time pro could be that off the pace without being injured. That’s probably a positive in all honesty.

Why play him then?
He won't play for another 6 weeks at least.
I'm 63 and could walk round round him whilst I'm having a drag on a Full Capstan (Google it teenagers) and having a swag on a Bells.
I've never seen anything like it in my life.
He looked likes a pensioner who hasn't had his Ovaltine for a fortnight
Horrendous

I believe Bullock's attitude re turning up late for training doesn't make him Lam's favourite

Way off match fit. I was left wondering if he was included in the squad simply because he was one of our new star signings.

I've never seen anything like it in my life.
Some of my comments were in jest but in all seriousness whoever picked him to play or said he was fit should just go.
The guy looked like he'd been in the West Ward all afternoon and turned up pizzed not knowing where he was.
I will defend the guy if he isn't match fit but he looked like a pensioner who'd lost his Zimmer frame trying to find the petty.
In a sad kind of way I hope that he is injured but persuaded to play because of his marquee status
I'm really shocked that the club would put a player on the pitch who from minute one who looked incapable of playing even 5 minutes of a professional game.
