Large indoor area for fans to congregate before and after the game. Bar areas including Gin & Prosecco Bars.
Food Zone, guitarist, guest speakers.... and a new and improved merchandise shop.
Sounds really good. Hopefully it will now replace the South Stand as the place to be on game day and bring the club some long overdue match day revenue.

| Great to hear. I’m sure fans will be far more tempted to go and put money in the clubs pockets than the stadium owners.

| Did anyone go in there tonight? Absolutely fantastic.
Packed to the rafters before the game, very busy after the game.
90% there. Just need some food on. I'm sure over the next few weeks we will see it improve further. Can't wait for summer when both indoors and outdoors. Plenty £££, for Wigan RLFC and not the Stadium Company.
Love the new club shop too. Very smart.

Went before the game and thought it was good.
Perhaps some big screens showing Wigan tv etc could be added pretty easily
A very strong 7/10 for starters and with the right follow up could be a major success for the club.
Thank you IL for the investment

| Loved it, as said there’s room for improvement but it was a great feeling having somewhere to call our own. Sound system needs improving, food adding as pointed out and some screen but it’s a great start.

| I didn’t really like it but as it was he first one I’m sure it will get better. £4.50 a pint is rather steep especially if your trying to entice fans in. More food kiosks would go down well and perhaps invest in better speakers,
I’d probably have had the door at the top of the room opened as well for exit only as it was hard work trying to push through everyone

| We went in before the game, thought it was very good, the heaters set the right tone, you cant disguise it was a running track, but the bar was good fast service and nice beer, it was £4.50 a pint, but you pay that for decent pint in most pubs now. The sound system wasn't up to it, and I'll echo the comments on TVs. But comparing it to the on ground facilities it was much better, work in progress but a very promising start.

| I was running late so didn't have time to visit, but it looked busy after the game. I'm sure the club will consult with the fans in the near future for feedback, tbh I won't mind paying £4.50 a pint if the money is going into the club (and it's a decent pint).
We have finally got something of a home for fans, I imagine it could be quite lively before and after big games having a sing-song. Well done Wigan.

Fully agree with this. Don't mind paying a little more for my ale if the cash is going to the club. I had a pint before the game and two after the game (none at the DW). If there could be some food kiosks that would be great, had mates there last night who came straight from work and were famished.
Agree with the screens, a few of them dotted around with SKY Sports would also be good. Yes it's a medium sized sports hall but it converted quite well, it was warm inside with the heaters and the bars served pretty quickly.
Before the game it was pretty rammed inside, I think when the weather turns nicer the fans will be able to mix from indoors to outdoors with food and drinks at both.
Not sure if the arena has kitchen areas but would be good if the Start & End of season dinners could be moved in there as well. I was pretty impressed with it all.

| In terms of food you’d think a few companies would be falling over themselves to set up in there on match days and would be willing to pay for the privilege.

Be much easier when the weather improves and they can use the outside areas

| Does anyone know how long you can leave your car on car park 3 after the game? Rather than join the free-for-all after the final hooter, it would be good to go for a pint and let the crowds disperse first.

| Is it open for away fans? sounds good apart from the £4;50 a pint which is a bit steep for us Yorkies.

I believe so, just need to show your match ticket at the front. The beer could be better for the price that it is, unless it was just a bad pump. I enjoyed the atmoshpere though and it'll work well on the warm evenings, it's got some work to do but definitely a positive start.

| What were people's thoughts of this on week 2?
I think it has great potential (imagine the atmosphere in there for a Wembley or GF homecoming) but they need to fix the beer prices and find some way of sticking TVs in

Stick TVs in and have classic games on with commentary and lower beer prices to normal prices. £3:50 is more than enough for a pint.

| It was only after I'd ordered that I was told a Guinness was £5. A bit steep for most Wiganers probably but if the extras are going straight to the club then okay.

| Price can be enough to put a lot of people off - forever - especially tight Wiganers.
£3.70 a pint and people will go in and buy 2-3 pints. £5 a pint and they'll buy none.
The club just have to be cute here and price match the bars in the DW, easy money.

I noticed the Lockers trailer bar had gone up from £4 to £4.50 for a beer. I think people are right and the club really need to be careful. I’ve really enjoyed it these past two weeks and will continue to go but I work in Manchester City centre and £4.50 is about the norm but it’s expensive for what is essentially a sports hall in Wigan. It’ll be interesting to see how it all goes. If they improve the facility, put screens up and the like, people will continue to pay it but if I stays as it is now then I think numbers will drop over time as the shine wears off.
Is the club actually running that bar by the way or just letting a company pay to take the space and bring their own staff? Guess that would have some impact on what they can/can’t do.

The middle bar was £4.50 for lager last week (and this) but bitter had gone up from £4 to £4.50
I understand all bars being priced the same but should be no more than £4. The again...Heineken in the SS Bar was £4.60
It has the potential to be a huge success but I'd like to see something slightly more permanent than "bars on wheels" somehow that could open for away game showings and parties after big games (good friday, cup semi finals, finals)
