| That is a very strong squad and, at the start of the year I would have backed them against anyone, home or away. But at the moment........

Some badly tarnished reps in there, I'm afraid.
Too tarnished in several cases.

Your squad on paper is the strongest in the league IMO, I know you have had injuries, but some players just aren't performing, also don't think it helps having the worst attacking 7 in the league.

| What team we pick depends on if we need the win or not for me. If it's a dead rubber I see little point in playing lads who'll more then likely be off to the World Cup next month.
If we can make the four the team picks itself but if we can't I'd go something like-
Mullen
Davies Higginson Forsyth Marshall
Powell Leuluai
Nuuausala McIlorum Sutton
Wells Isa Tomkins
Clubb Bretherton Gregson Ganson
I'm hoping not many of our players get selected for the World Cup as it may be a kick up the backside a few need and after the injury run of the past two years it would be nice to see a few with a full off season.

We most probably only have 2 Bateman and Locks if fit.

Williams will still get in I reckon. Also there's talk that Gildart will turn out for Italy, Gelling will be with the Cook Islands and Farrell may make a larger squad then the one picked for the Mid Season game. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few of the younger lads like Davies, Marshall and Sutton get approached to play for a home nation if they eligible.

| I can't see a Wigan player in England's current strongest starting 13.
Except perhaps Lockers if fit.

Not sure they'd be allowed to make that many changes to the announced 19 man squad.

| Personally I will be cheering on Trinity on Saturday. Sad but true.
The lower we finish in the league the better, for the club to move forward.

It’s strange watching tonight hoping for a result that goes against Wigan’s top 4 points. It’ll be the same tomorrow.
But I’m desperate for this season to finish. Desperate for change at the club.
Desperate for a reason to go back watching the club next year. If Wane and his motley crew are there, I won’t be.

| Got some cracking 'supporters' haven't we?
The club is better off without people like you in my opinion. If you can't support them through bad times, you have no claim on being a supporter through the good times.

The club is already 2k lighter on support over the last 3yrs so I suppose another one won't matter.......will it?
People are tired of what is going on at the club and can you blame them? You pay your money and you takes your choice, I will continue to support them and always will do however for the 1st time in 36yrs i won't be renewing my season ticket, I will pick and choose my games just as the club quite clearly do, but no doubt i will get a call from Kris Radlinski again, stating he understood stands my concerns and things are changing at the club and they want to make the fans feel part of everything that goes on, but i'm sorry Kris you fooled me last time....it won't happen again.

Comments like this always make me laugh. We aren't fans allowed to voice their opinions when their team is playing poorly? They are the ones putting the money in pockets of players, and if players aren't performing fans have every right to say they aren't happy and make the decision not to attend games. Doesn't make you any less of a fan in my eyes just because you don't walk through the turnstile every week no matter how well the team is or isn't playing. Watching sport is becoming an expensive day out these days in this country, especially if you have a family, and if they are having to fork out £80-100 a week for a day out to the rugby, I for one would be expecting something worthwhile back for that money.

We aren't though, are we? We are paying the club for a rugby game, and we get a rugby games in return, it's a fair exchange. I don't get this sense of entitlement, as though the players owe us something for that. Especially when some fans clearly aren't willing to support the players during a bit of adversity, why should the players feel indebted to them?

The shareholders, they are the ones who have actually invested in the club. If I don't go to the game on Saturday, Frank Paul Nu'uausala won't lose a penny (sadly!). I agree that you pay your money and take your choice, and that it may indirectly influence the club's actions, but that's as far as I'd go with it. The players don't owe me anything just because I've paid to watch them over the years, and you aren't a supporter if you ever want your team to lose, just a spectator.

We’re all entitled to an opinion.
I love the club. But I have more in my life than Wigan Rugby. Therefore when it’s utter turgid (not for a week or two but for almost 3 years) then there’s plenty of other things to spend my hard earned on.

I agree, but what it will influence is how much those shareholders, sponsors etc, put into the club and whether or not they take their money elsewhere, which will then mean the club doesn't have as much to spend on salaries so when it comes to renewal time, FPN has to take a 20% cut or go elsewhere. I'm not saying for one minute players owe fans a thing (some have the mentality though that they do) I just wish they all did that's all.

| No client to buy a produce = no shareholders investing in the product.
When it goes tits up first people to walk away are shareholders in business they will just move onto to the next investment.
So without the clients shareholders would just walk away.
Or another way Tesco would not here if it were not for the customers after all the shareholders could never afford to keep paying wages week in week out and neither could ours.

Oh i dont know Grimmy there have been plenty of adverse moments over the laat couple of seasons that the fans have stood by. Bateman-gate, Sam Tomkins ankle-gate, Millwall-gate and the forthcoming Australia SL match-gate off the top of my head. probably many more. i want Hull to lose tonight and us to win on Saturday and have a shot at the GF no matter how the season has gone on a personal note but i do see both sides of the argument.

I don't disagree. As others have said, it's your money, it's your choice what you spend it on. If you choose to turn your back on the club when things don't go so well that's not very supportive is it? You turn up as a 'spectator' not as a supporter when things are going well.

Yes but his comment wasn't about whether you're entitled to spend your money elsewhere or not. Of course you are. But does a latics fan, for example, choosing to spend his money at football still entitle him to call himself a Warriors fan? Of course it doesn't! Where you choose to spend your money dictates whether you're a fan or not otherwise we're all fans of everything!
Anyway, that's by the by as I believe the comment was about 'fans' hoping their team loses etc. which is exactly the definition of what a fan isn't.
