| Never change a winning team? With Flower available I'm assuming he'll come straight back in. Anyone got an update on Lockers? Heard mumblings he could be fit? If so I'd give him a go, it would be a risk but he's worth it.

| Think Flower will be on the bench in place of Bretherton but can't see Lockers coming back. I'd pick Shorrocks as cover but his defence in the middle is too poor to give him extended time at 9 which is a shame.

| I wouldn't put SOL in the team, match fitness will have dipped and at this point can he be available for the full game. Is 20mins of SOL availability worth 80mins of another?

| Didn't we throw Lockers into the GF in 2013 when he hadn't played since the CC final? So Wane has form for it...

| There was talk in the fans site that Tierney cracked a rib and played on last night. I'm no expert but would that be possible? I believe it's extremely sore.
Presuming that's incorrect and with Flower back I'd just change Flower for Bretherton. If on the off chance Lockers is fit I'd be happy to see him take that last bench spot. Harsh on Shorrocks but he was targeted last night and he'll get plenty more shots at big games. The influence and calm Lockers can add to the team could be invaluable even if he only plays for 20 minutes.

The alternative is Shorrocks I suppose and after him having a few (understandable) struggles last night, I doubt he'll even get 20 minutes so I think it is worth it.
The only way it could backfire is if a back or Powell gets injured early doors and then he may have to do more minutes.
It's worth the roll of the dice for me if Lockers is in contention.

| You could now have a we lose intensity in the middle when Powell goes off topic. The team looked more vulnerable in the middle when he went off, and picked up when he returned.
Clark will cut us to pieces if we drop off around the play the ball.
I would have Flower back and leave out Shorrocks, he's not ready to cover the hooker role. I would rather spell Farrell, Bateman or Isa there to keep the middle tight

| Ultimately although Shorrocks and Bretherton have performed admirably, I don't feel great about either of them playing in a Grand Final team but it looks like one will have to.
If Lockers can even manage two 10 minute spells I would play him so that neither of Shorrocks or Bretherton need to play.

I agree. Everyone knows Wire will start fast so we have to match them in the first 20 and i think Flower and Big Frank will. Powell to play 80 minutes too, can't afford to miss those tackles in the middle of the field like Shorrocks did in the semi final. Shorrocks has done well in the last few weeks but i don't think he should play. His time will come.

| Think Warrington may have the same problem with Patton if Sandow is back. Do they risk another injury and losing him during the game and wasting a bench spot? Patton has been playing really well but like Shorrocks has been and will be targeted, and rightly so.

The Wire fans seem to think Smith has all but ruled Sandow out. There's a bit of talk knocking about that he may well be off at the end of the year.
It seems a long time ago since that game at the DW when for 25 minutes he was majestic. He got injured that night and it was the start of the end of his season.

Cant think of any NRL team that would want Sandow (presuming that is where he would go) The Knights have signed Walsh but everybody else has a better 7 than Sandow.

He has the ability, but there's more to it than that.

Somebody mentioned on the Wire board that he's been knocking around with some unsavoury characters around the Boozers of Warrington.

| Yeah, I know there's been talk. I was just saying, on the pitch, if he puts his mind to it, he's a class act, and plenty good enough for the NRL. I must admit, I did think, a couple of successful years at Wire might see him go back to the NRL ( look at Soliola running around at the Raiders like a teenager, still playing great footy), but it doesn't look like it's going to pan out that way.

I was informed last week by an old Warrington supporter friend of mine that Sandow would never play for the Wire again.

| I won't be happy that we have both of our wingers available until the disciplinary committee sits today.
I wonder if Lewis could pick up a ban?
Not sure if anyone else noticed, amongst all the celebration, but when Sam Powell went in for his try, Lewis came running acroos to celebrate, jumped across the front of the ref and placed his hand on Hicks' shoulder when he jumped.
We've all seen bans for similar touches on match officials this year.
Hope I'm being paranoid, but it wouldn't surprise me if we only had 1 winger next weekend.

| There's absolutely no way Tierney will get a ban for that in GF week. At the very most it'll be an EGP and fine.

| OK.
Not even sent for review.
The only one of ours that was reviewed was Oli Gildart, for lifting the leg, but there was not a single charge for anyone this week. (Maybe the committee is winding down for the season).

| I expect us (Wire) to field the same 17 as last week but with Bailey coming in for Philbin.
I personally would like to see Dwyer in for Smith and I can see either that happening or Sandow coming in on the bench.
Sandow can't be match fit, but could do a good job in a similar fashion as you guys think Lockers could.
