Anyone else questioning the prices of these?

£14.50 to sit in the East stand while season ticket holders that have sat there and been bored to death all year paid £18+?

Is there any point in getting a season ticket these days?

I know stuff like this pees off season ticket holders but with crowds as low as they are currently the club have to be seen to be doing something. Damned if they do, damned if they don't really. I think they need to take a serious look at their marketing and pricing structure for next season if they want to get back up to anywhere near the 16k averages we were getting in 2011 and 2012.

Totally agree. Just not sure pricing down is the way to go. The match day experience these days is just poor. There are no new ideas. Bit of fireworks/sparklers every now and then but what else has there been? On Friday the PA system and music was so loud I couldn't hear the person sat next to me. It probably doesn't help that the rugby on show hasn't exactly been scintillating either!

IMO the marketing and match day experience is great, it's purely the quality of SL and our attacking play that has seen crowds dwindle.

Do feel the regular season ticket holders are getting short changed, know plenty who didn't renew this season, before a ball was passed, kicked, so you can't blame the rugby, I think it is more to do with Thursday nights and the continual movement of games for TV, yes I know we are under contract but what a terrible deal, we all know there are more players than SKY out there.
We now have basically a seven game season then a semi final and final if you get through.
Can see less full season tickets being sold next year.

I think it is the continued moving of fixtures that is putting a lot of people off buying a season pass. . Fixtures published yesterday and again the proviso added at the end . Subject to change for Sky . Have booked for all with fingers crossed. If i miss what could be Paddy's last game of Rugby League because sky moved it there will be murder.

The Thursday night games where a big reason I didn't renew my season ticket and just picked and chose my games but with the lack of quality and the boring rugby that's been served I'm bloody glad I didn't renew

I sympathise. I used to think, if I lived locally (which might yet happen), I'd buy a season ticket, only "to support the club". But reading the comments on here and thinking about it, I'm not so sure it's worth it.

And on prices generally, I think there's little doubt that SL rugby offers VFM compared to other sports. And it's altogether a more amenable and pleasant environment than football matches. But a better class of footy would help a lot to put bums on seats! I watch the SL Show (and I realise I'm watching highlights, but still...) and I think, when did I last see Wigan score a try like that?

Tommy L has been hired foremost as a coach.
He is down to play but I'm sure he will start coaching from pre 2017 season.
After the decades I've been watching I'll renew my season tickets.
Great sport, great club and matches are occasions I do like attending.

As for the quality of Rugby, To many disruptions due to injuries to play very fast flowing rugby.
Grinding out wins has been necessary and they have done that comendably well.
The team spirit with this squad is better then any I've seen for years if not ever from Wigan teams.

Certainly no complaints about effort and desire, I agree. A bit more fluency and guile in attack would be nice, though.

Think it's odds on , 1 if not more of those last 3 matches will be moved , no Thursday match ! Watch this space , SKY want their cake and to eat it as well , those 7 weeks fixtures should be sorted end of , but no never mind the fans.
