| Putting aside the disappointment of losing the Derby, Cats/Leeds/Hudds/Saints away from home on the bounce was a big ask.
So, was two wins from four a decent return in the great scheme of things ?
Personally I'd have taken that at the start of that run of games.

| Probably yes, but that's indicative of how inconsistent we've been this season.
I think another 2 wins from the next 3 is the least we need.

| The problem with a competitive league is that teams will be inconsistent.
The consistency that comes from winning all the time, also means other teams are easy beats and poor opposition.
You may feel Wigan are inconsistent, but compared to others in the league they are far more consistent, than most.

Salford, Wire, and Whinos? That's quite a big ask.
I am so disappointed Leeds is on a bloody Thursday.

| I'll take 2 from those 4 they were tough fixtures. It's the Hull KR cup defeat that really gets me. We could really do with 4 from the next 5 though. If we beat Salford, (one of Wire/Leeds), Widnes and Hull FC we'll likely be at least 2nd come the split. We don't want to leave ourselves too much to do after then, otherwise we could run out of steam as we did in 2011

| I would have snapped your hand off if you'd offered 2 wins from the last 4 away games. We're in a good position still - just a shame that we handed the game to Saints on a silver platter.

there does seem to be the start of some vocal grumbling from maybe influential people about these Thursday & Monday games - especially when they start to affect season ticket sales. We'll see, I suppose.
Regardless of the loss on Friday, 2 from the last 4 isn't [ithat[/i bad, but it's the inconsistency from what I'd expect to be established & confident players that worries me. We can't be too rigid in plays or they might as well invite the opposition into the dressing room. On the other hand, are we trying too hard to adapt to other teams' ways of playing & disrupting our form as a result?
I don't buy into the reason for this can be all laid at the foot of Wane either, we see all too often in Wendyball, the manager being blamed for everything down to warm beer & stale pies when a good portion of blame has to be borne by the players. I'm not sure any single one of them can hold their hands up this year & claim to be faultless in some of the losses (granted, some are worse than others & I question why they're in the squad let alone on the park sometimes).
On paper I might expect 3 wins from the last 5, but I'd not be surprised if we only get 2 points.

| There will be lots of "twists and turns" before the 8's. Superleague is pretty poor in quality these days in terms of players, add in the factor of injuries and ref inconsistency and its quite easy that games become unpredictable in the current top 6. Its now looking Leeds, Wigan and Saints will hold on to a top 4 place. Huddersfield are going into there tough schedule now and could make it in the 4 depending on there away form.

| Has anyone studied the grid that decides the post split fixtures. The team finishing top gets a massive advantage in that they will play the teams finishing second and third at home. We really need to push for an unbeaten run now, and score some points, and hope Saints lose a game, otherwise post split we will end up travelling to Leeds & ST Helens, which is not ideal.

if there's too many Thursday games next year I won't be renewing my season ticket as I've no chance of making Thursday games, it ends up cheaper buying individual tickets if there's so many Thursday games

the problem being that if you wait 'til the fixtures are announced any renewal discount is long gone
