This looks like being a great game - sadly it will likely be played out in front of a poor crowd on national TV. Surely the club could have put on some sort of ticket promotion for the game similar to what Huddersfield did against Leeds last year in the cup (I think they let everyone in for around a fiver).

Just seems a shame to me that with all the positivity at the moment, the club will come across in a bad light on the BBC next week when the match is played in front of a 1/4 full stadium.

Cas might have problems with Carney being involved in a fight yesterday.
He and the Widnes player, Flynn, were binned.
Whether the disciplinary take it further I don't know but Carney has a poor record.

I agree it is a game asking to be promoted. Tie of the round by some distance. As it stands there will probably be 10 to 12k

Tickets are dirt cheap. Can't see what more they can do bar offering free admission to everyone in Wigan MBC area.

Tickets are only about £13 plus an offer on for the double header. What more can the club do? Less than £15 to see two of the in form teams play in a knock out competition is an absolute bargain. Some people just seem to moan for the sake of moaning...

Make no mistake, I'm not moaning - I think the prices are fair. I'm looking at the reality of the situation - it will be a four figure crowd and the club won't come across well on national TV. Therefore I just wondered for the sake of publicity whether we should have followed Huddersfield's lead from last year.

Yep, Grade C is 2-3 games and he's not eligible for EGP.

He's a good player, so they will miss him.

We don't rely on Carney. See our victory at Wigan last year when funnily enough, Carney was banned. Although, naturally, I appreciate the cup game will be a different animal.

Unfortunately you get a few at every club, these Cas lads done speak for the majority. Carney is that type of animal and he's always going to be in front of the disciplinary, it's just his style.

I've just witnessed the best Cas performance in many years today, 54 points (and Sneyd missed 6 conversions) next weeks a different game against tougher opposition, we will travel full of confidence but start as under dogs.
It's got the makings of another absolute barnstormer, 2 of the best sides in SL, the most exciting team in the league against arguably the most physically intimidating team in the league.
Can't wait to get over there, may the best team go through, hope neither of us are talking about the ref for the wrong reasons afterwards.

I have to agree with most of that. I'm expecting an enthraling game with plenty of talking points. Wigan will start as favourites given our recent big game experience. I expect Cas to show up and be counted. I'm quietly confident but not enough to be putting money on it.

We ripped Hull KR to bits yesterday with no Carney. However, Wigan will be a much tougher game. One of which I expect us to lose in a close match.

Real excited for it now though. Heard you may have some of your injured first teamers back. Is this a good thing for you as your youthful team have played amazing of late.
