Today I have been out to my mothers 103rd birthday party, It started about 1-pm at one of our local clubs with family and close friends. About 3-pm I took my mother home because she soon gets tired (my niece was driving I had already had a couple) we got my mother settled before we walked back to the club.
Before we left I asked her what she wanted on the telly, when I told her RL was on she said that would do, Cas v Bradford was on. She said that would do because she loves her sport, especially RL and knowing that I am a Wigan fan she always loves watching them and wants them to win all the time, I walked home from the club about 6-pm just to make sure everything was OK.
When I got home I asked her what she was watching, she said it was Warrington and Saints Helens and that Wire was beating Saints easily. Then she said that she did not know wether to laugh or cry.

Absolutely brilliant!!

Congrats to your mum, mine was 92 two weeks ago and she really enjoyed this weekend. Wigan win, Saints loose sets her up well for the coming week.

What a great story and congratulations to a lovely lady. Cherish them while they are here . I lost my Dad very recently who's memories of Wigan RLFC and anecdotes went back to the mid 1920's.
