Eden is on loan until the end of this season. Locke's deal starts next season.

Personally I think he is massively overrated. Maybe he will be good here in SL but in the NRL he had a pretty poor season last season in terms of errors at crucial times in games. Lots of talent going forward, but hopeless in defence.

Ceo Wayne Schurrah told Locke at the end of last season that he had three weeks to test the NRL Market ( silly move ) Locke got interest from the Bulldogs , Storm and Penrith in the first week.

The Warriors were alarmed by the quality of coach showing interest in Locke ( they had intended that he would learn his lesson when no one offered him deals ) so they brought an immediate stop to letting Locke Shop around.

As such he is not running away to Superleague for want of NRL options.

Kevin has been given a very attractive contract from Salford and it's more money than had he stayed on in the NRL.

Locke's not as good as Sam......I would agree with that....even when Locke was red hot.....Sams; passing and Vision gives him the edge. Though Kevin has other strengths.

The Warriors make no money for Locke going to Salford....he's a free agent.

Where Kevin has been miss judged is that he has been playing with repeated Injury over the past two years. Last year was his worst year....he was very poor defensively which isn't like him.....Kevins a great defensive fullback when fully fit and enjoying his football.....certainly better under the highball than Sam and Slater.

The world cup was the worst Locke has played in his life.

Only Hardaker and Bowen will challenge a fully fit Kevin Locke......Kevins been getting fitter...more importantly faster.....in the last three weeks in reserves.....Salford will get him at a good time....fit and needing new challenges.

I don't blame him for leaving....at the Time we signed Tomkins it would have felt like the club used Locke.....played him injured...then sort his replacement when Lockes form suffered.
