| I enjoyed that
Saints where taught a few lessons
Burgess looks a great player
SOL is class
Not gonna worry too much because I think saints needed to be beat to give me a kick up the after the last couple of weeks.

| Thank you. I'm surprised it was so convincing. I honestly didn't expect that. I thought you were rightly favourites and we could possibly sneak a win but thought it would be much closer.
Brown's interview after the game is worth a listen if you haven't heard it. He was pretty harsh to a couple of players who he said we're not up to standard. Didn't name any names though.

Individuals can make errors. But I thought Wane had the better tactics today. That second half reminded me of the Grand Final. Saints weren't at the races because Wigan shut them out.
Could be a costly win though. How many did we lose through injury? Three at the last count.

| have serious worries about Goulding defence, we seem to be much more solid when we just slide rather than rush up and in and Goulding left Sarginson on more than one occasion today.

Thornley, Pettybourne and Flower were taken off and didn't return. Taylor was also struggling after his big hit on Masoe at the end. IMO MM should be rested on Monday after his shift today.

| Wigan are lifting when it matters and conserving energy where they can. They really hit their straps in the second half today and showed what they're capable of.
Bowen was fantastic and that's great to see. I can't stress how impressive young Burgess is, what a player. The efforts of Faz and Bateman were immense but Lockers topped the lot! The guy is so special and is Wigan's lynchpin.
Great effort all round and a great atmosphere.

| I'll echo what the OP said. Thought Wigan was very good today considering down to 15 men in those conditions.
SOL for me was the difference for Wigan. He was opening us up with ease in the first half.
Even tho we was losing at half time I wasn't to worried as we was opening you up as easy as you was us and I thought the team who sorts their defence out will win and unfortunately for us that was Wigan.

| Agree with OP, i think Farrell and SOL were stand outs today for you men today.
Thought we might have had a go in the 2nd half but we were totally neutralised.

| A big rap for Matty Smith today, 6 goals and a drop goal brilliant, after the bit of stick he's been getting he certainly showed Walsh the way,

| A thoroughly outstanding performance today, especially as we were up against it with the injury situation. I thought Lockers was brilliant today and led the team exceptionally well. Bateman also put in an excellent shift as did all the team. All in all a wonderful day in the Good Friday sunshine, well done lads.

| Very good performance by the Wigan lads. Not shabby at all. First to every lose ball, made their own luck, lots of speed in both attack and defense. Really showed Saints how to man up for a big game.

I read that on our board and checked it out when watched the game back. It's to hard to tell if the was any bite and the fact nothing more been said then I doubt we will hear anything else on it.

| I think Wellens and McIlorum forearmed each other on the ground but McIlorum cut Wellens in doing so?

| Blow for Thornley as he was really starting to make a mark and find some consistency. I do feel we can cope with his absence pretty comfortably though.
Pettybourne is more difficult. I've not got much confidence in James or Dudson but I suppose we do have Crosby to come back.

Agree about Thornley, but will this give a chance finally for Gelling to get a decent run of games in his best position? I think the guys talented. Warrington away last year he was brilliant along with Hull FC the week after the cup final.
Regarding the props, Dudson has done it for Wigan, his first year with us (2012) he was brilliant until the injury in Catalans. Remember Waney calling him "the form front rower in Super League" around the time we put 50 on Leeds at Headingly. Hopefully a run of games can see him get back to this form.
As for James this is the exact reason we signed him. To cover when injurys hit and to be another big dependable body. Come the back end of the year when we want to give Flower and Taylor a rest we know James will do a decent job. I was moaning prematch yesterday that he was picked over Crosby but he was very solid.
