FWIW, I think we'll see a very good performance from the lads but unfortunately think hand on heart we'll just come up short, Roosters by 6.

The two refs will ensure the games quick and that will suit them more then us. We're fighting a losing battle on that score unfortunately and it will tell late in the game.

It'll be close for 55-60 mins IMO then they'll pull away to win by 16-20 points.

Be tight for 25-30 mins then expect their big bodies starting to take its toll on our defensive line by getting away offloads and quick play the balls, they could carve us up on the edges off the back of this. I expect us to play 4 forwards to combat this with the hope Micky Mac can do 80 mins without missing too many tackles.

I expect us to lose by about 20 points.

I think it’s a massive ask for us as a side that has not settled yet with the changes in personnel, and I would be well chuffed if we could pull it off. I could see a surprise win if the Roosters take to the field with a, it’s all done and dusted arrogant type of attitude, but I doubt that will be the case. I can see us getting some joy out wide and crossing the whitewash on least three occasions, but I fear a possible leaky defence late on. Lose by 10.

I could bring you some luck here. The last 4 Wigan games I have attended you have won. 3 Challenge Cup finals 1959, 1960 and 1985 and the WCC against the Broncos. That 1994 match you were big underdogs too but in front of a sell-out crowd you triumphed. You haven't the quality of that team though and the Roosters are a formidable outfit. Also the bookies are offering 4-5 to 1 in heads up plus giving you up to 16 points start in handicap betting.

Worrying thing is at half time their player is saying they are blowing a bit and very rusty, might give Wigan a chance second half, the Roosters second 20 mins was not as blistering as the first 20.
