The area beyond the dead ball line is obviously not big enough, Leigh and the KC should also be 90m. The Halliwell Jones should be have ben built with a larger grassed area too, it's ridiculously small considering it was built for football (rugby).

Welsh Oz, I am struggling with your post requesting 90m beyond the dead ball line , 1st if you are talking about the depth of the in goal area you should have said beyond the try line.
Then I come to the actual distance you quoted (90m), surely you meant 9m (app 29 feet).

Haven't you seen the fantastic tries scored in the NRL where players have ended up quite a bit outside the in-goal areas? Can't see those in SL as the areas beyond the dead ball line aren't usually big enough. M Jennings would have ended up in hospital if he had scored his G Final on most British grounds.

Make the in goal smaller, you need even more skill then and the kicks to the corner have to be pin point acurrate.

whats your top 3 favourite in-goal area's and why?

1. Odsal; I like the way it slowly turns into a hill at the corners.

2. Old Trafford; Quality hill at the end of that one, too.

3. Wigan; A familiar in goal - no hill.

I like the old one at Huddersfield that had a confusing second line and saw several players run dead or put the ball down in the wrong place.
