| well done to those two was written off before even playing a game and have shown that they make a better pairing the tommy and finch. Both picked up injuries through out the season but came right when it really mattered. Maybe shaun Wane knows what he is doing after all.
Saints fans still calling Matty average haha

| Like many I was concerned about these 2, particularly Smith but the proof of the pudding is in the eating and I couldn't have been more wrong. It was a recent plan of mine to apologise on here to Matty Smith who I never believed could come from Salford and do what he has. A have called him no more than average on more than one occasion and am very happy that he has put me firmly in my place.

| Green's form inparticular has mirrored our season as a whole. He started off like a house on fire and we were great. He then got taken out by a disgraceful hit at HKR in the cup and missed a few games before coming back in patchy form and we struggled through to the play offs having enough on route to pick up the cup. Fast forward to the play offs and he and us hit top gear again and proved the doubters wrong.
Green has proved a shrewd buy and Smith has been excellent.

| I just wonder how long we will have the pleasure of their services. Smith I am less worried about but what are Green's long term plans do we know?

| I, like most people was unconvinced by the signings, they were hardly pulling trees at their former clubs. However put them into this club with our culture and better players around them they have shone and rightly so. As a halfback pairing they compliment each other perfectly, the best pairing I have seen in a long time at Wigan. And the fact that we have the likes of Ryan Hampshire and George Williams chomping at the bit behind them bodes well for the future.

| Never worried about our 6 and 7 all year. Greeny is a top class number 6 and Matty knos how to control the game. Form is temporary, class is permanent.
