| Lets face it, these last few weeks seemed to have got worse and worse for us and the managerial side of the club seems to be posing more questions than providing answers but looking back to our thoughts on the season ahead early in 2013, i'd have certainly snatched our current position in the league and the CC Final spot out of anyones hands who would have been insane enough to offer it.
Before a ball had even been passed, we were writing our own team off and opposition fans were mocking us at every opportunity. As the season progressed the players have shut a lot of us up and before we knew it we were 5 points clear at the top before our recent slump in form, whether due to off field distractions or injury buildup. Whatever was to blame, whether it be luck or form, i'm struggling to feel too aggrieved by it. Sport happens!
Ok, our recent form has really disappointed me and even more so the ongoing sagas regarding Sam etc but i cant help but thinking that we all need to just step back and take in where we actually are. I'll be the first to admit that i've slated nearly every player in the team at some point this year but still, we are one of the two teams currently enjoying "Wembley week" ahead of the CC final and are guaranteed a top four finish. Not too shabby if i think about it via a more positive angle!
After the season is over, we will more than likely be losing Sam and defo losing Mossop, Tuson and probably a few more along the way. But no matter what happens over the next few weeks, i can't help but get the feeling that we are still on the right track.
The future is bright and my future will always be Cherry & White. Come saturday afternoon at 3pm i will be one of thousands of us experiencing a mixture of pride, emotion, nerves and excitement all rolled up into one and i imagine i won't have a second thought about any of the negatives that seem to have blighted recent weeks.
Come on The Mighty Wigan Town!

| The team has out performed a lot of our pre season expectations to date and it will be great if they continue to do that until the end if the season.
Are we on the right track after that? It's a no IMO. It doesn't take a crystal ball to see where this constant flow of players out of the club is heading. We will have a side with too much youth and not enough experience and the pressure will start to crank up as soon as we don't start a season well or lose a couple of games on the bounce.
I'm pleased that we've made our way back to the upper reaches of the game but I can see the next slump coming a mile off at the moment unless there's a change in our retaining/recruiting players policy.

| I'd have taken the situation we're in no question and am more than happy at the moment.
Despite the achievement of Leeds in the last 2 years I still feel that the top 4 is the best place to be for the playoffs as you get the second chance and a possible home semi. We've achieved that and despite our current league form (I put it down to a change in focus once the top 4 was achieved. I might be wrong but obviously i hope not) I think we have a VERY good chance of taking both major trophies.

| Only us wigan fans could find something to complain about being in the challenge cup final and third in the table, it's a talent

| Said this the other day, we are in a great position, with key players adequately rested in theory.
If someone had said that we would be at Wembley and top four with no big injury concerns at this point, I would have been happy as.

| the problem is we all had low expectations at the start of the year, and with the first half of the year's performances they more than surpassed them on the whole, we then started to dream, now we've hit a rough patch after watching all this good rugby, we naturally worry, but if we win on Saturday and that is the catalyst we needed, then the last couple of months goes down as a blip/good squad rotation
