Wigan won by 50 - 4, which in reality gives them top spot. Defensively they were excellent, conceding only one try and that was from a kick which rebounded off a Wigan player.

Joe Burgess was taken off at half time after spending much of the first half throwing up. I believe he had a bad dose of tonsillitis in the week. Just hope he has recovered and has his passport ready for next weekend.

Considering he was unwell Burgess was brilliant. I thought Shorrocks and Doran were impressive once again although they made one or two mistakes that would be punished against a decent side (there aren't many at this level).

Manfredi was very strong in attack and defence but possibly showed that his weakness is competing for the high ball. He was a little unsure on a couple of occasions.

The front row of Brooks, Austin, Sutton and Bretherton? is fantastic.

Bilko has just informed me that it will be top 6 play off comp this year for the U19's.

Good win considering the players missing through injury or illness. Put Lever, Gildart, Williams, Farrell and Hampshire back in the side and it looks pretty formidable.!

It's great to see the 19's playing a very similar structures to the first team, Tierney chiming in is brilliant to watch. At times on Saturday they looked to come off more fluent than our first team
