Some teams have been complaining about their injury list.

At the start of the season I would have expected Prescott, Mossop, Lauaki, Tuson and Hansen to have figured heavily in the Wigan teams.

Between them they have made only 24 appearances.

Can't agree about Tuson but the rest, yes.

our pack has been outstanding for me this year even more so when you look at them figures.

Ben flower and Dom Crosby would be the first props on the list for me now, outstanding both of them.

Ben Flower reminds me a lot of a young Andy Platt, a bit lighter at present but I think an increase in bulk will come over time.

Add Gil Dudson to that and I would totally agree.

Scott Taylor has showed tremendous promise too.

He's been pretty much ever-present (when fit) since the start of last season, so I'd say it was a fair bet.

Has made great improvements with the ball in hand and was playing really well before he got injured. Some players improve when given a run in the team which Chris Tuson did this season. He's never really had a decent run before now same as Faz. Some fans were even suggesting before this season that Faz had a lot to prove and didn't even name him in their starting 13. It's difficult for any player to show their best if they only make brief appearances.

All of the young props have performed exceptionally so far . An honourable mention also to Tom Spencer who looks pretty good to me the little we have seen of him.

Greg Burke has been outstanding. I'm hoping that he's back in the 17 on Saturday with Jack Hughes injured.

The options and depth in the pack is immense at present. I think that is summed up by Flower and Crosby, who at the start of the year would probably have been my 6th and 7th choice props yet are now my 1st and 2nd. The competition is really driving the lads on to some great performances.

In that back row Tuson has had a fantastic season when he's been fit. He really is a very underrated player IMO. He is a victim sometimes of that huge competition we have. He needs big minutes to perform to his best but when your fighting it out with Faz, Hansen, Lockers, Hughes, Burke etc its always going to be tough.

I'd love to see Micky Paea added for next year (we'd need to set Bitcom to work on him) and a good back up to McIlorum and if we do that its pretty complete.
