With all the talk leading up to this season about how we are a weaker side than last season, isn't Pat's contract up at the end of this season, and will he stay beyond 2013?

In a word...

Yes.

Last season he looked like he had lost a hell of a lot of pace but he's still a quality finisher. I'd keep him if the price is right. He's not the player he was before his injury but he's still much better than the average SL winger

Would not be surprised if Foster takes is place as he as only signed a 12 month contract at Bradford and a great kicker as well.

I hope he stays at Wigan for a few years yet, one of my favourite players during my time watching Wigan and despite losing a bit of pace over the past year or so, is still a quality player.

He didn't look too slow in the last league game at HKR.

hes never been a player who looks really fast, he has a lazy kind of run which is very deceptive. Hes quicker than he looks, asks a few wingers hes left traling behind him.

Pat is excellent and a points machine.
Hope he stays beyond 2013.

Well I for one will say that he has aged and has got worse since his achillies injury. He is still solid though, will still do a very good job for us at SL level and is certainly one of the better wingers in SL and a great goalkicker too. If the money is right, and providing he has a good season this season, there is certainly no reason not to keep him for another year or two.

Paddy has been good, but he should retire at the end of this season.
His place is better taken by a youngster, and as his body ages, his major contribution will be his goal kicking. if someone like green/smith/murphy can replace him - then he can be allowed to leave as a modern great, rather than sully his name by potentially playing on too long.

He's only 30! Easily got another couple of seasons in him yet.

I hope we keep Pat till he decides to retire. He is a quality player, we need all the experience we can get!
