Yes. My point (albeit originally not well put) is that given the importance of our WC next year, that if it's a complete disaster [iagain[/i it could well be the last ever north of the equator. Surely even the dimmest bulb in Red Hall could see that high profile England RU games on the same dates as England WC games would be a problem:
Saturday, November 2, UNION Eng/Aus WC: Eng/Irl, Aus/Fiji
Saturday, November 9, UNION Eng/Arg WC: Eng/Fiji, Aus/Irl
Saturday, November 16, UNION Eng/NZ WC: Quarter Finals !
All the media attention will be on Twickers, & any meager hope of being able to properly promote the game to a wider public will be relegated to Sky Sports 19 (or wherever).

| Hi and a Merry Christmas to all my fellow Wigan supporters.
A huge long shot, but does anybody have a spare LARGE away shirt that they want to sell? (The new purple & black one)
Cheers

| You may have seen this advertised in the WEP or on advertising boards around town, but if not then cancer research are trying to raise funds by asking people to give up alcohol in January. As cancer is an issue quite close to my heart I've opted to take part and am asking if the kind people of RLFANS would donate the price of a pint to the cause (DW prices of course )
You can donate to my Just Giving page [url=https://www.justgiving.com/dryathlete-adam-conroy/here[/url donate by text by texting CONN90 £1 to 70070 or register to take part yourself [url=http://www.dryathlon.co.ukhere[/url
EDIT - If you donate by text then the amount is debited from your next phone bill.

| I noticed the other day that Britain's oldest man Reg Dean has died aged 110, that now means that Brian (Rogues Gallery) moves up a place to number 3 in the table (Brian is 107), congratulations !!!!

Rumour has it that owd Rogues played in the same team as Webb Ellis. When the greedy ba$tard picked up the ball and ran with it Owd Rogues immediately nicknamed him "One trick Bill" and put him in touch with a team called St Helens.

| My bin collection day was yesterday morning (black bin) and it was not brought back in from the alleyway until today at lunch.
Anyway the wife was visited today by some council worker informing her that we would be fined £80??? as we had left the bin out longer than 24 hours.
Anyone else had this happen?
I am pretty livid to be honest. Normally the bin gets collected by us as soon as possible, but it slipped our minds yesterday.
Seems a massive overreaction from WMBC to me and serves only to get some coffers through the door.

| Its not a scam but as far as we are aware there has been no general advertisement on the Council website to make people aware of this and the letter that we received does not mention about fines for non collection.
We received a visit from a council employee some weeks ago informing us about the fine if not collected within 24hrs. We were also informed that the bins had to be kept within the boundary of the property which when you live in a terraced house with little space in the back yard and 4 bins is not particularly conveniant.
I can see a lot of complaints being made about this.

| Sometimes my bin is not emptied on bin day (Thursday). Guess what the council person says if I phone them up to tell them? "Leave the bin/s out they may empty them tomorrow"! If someone comes round asking for 80 quid I'll knock him out!!

| On the subject of bins, my blue bin (cards, paper, packaging) was last collected on Monday 22nd December. As you can imagine im getting rid of all the Christmas cards and packaging and was full to the brim. It was due to be collected on Monday this week but due to the dusting of snow we had that day it wasn't collected.
The council website states that there will be no collection of this already overflowing blue bin until 20th February and our options is to wait it out or take it in bags to the tip ( in other words do their job for them, don't we pay our council tax for them to take it)??
My question is....what happens if it snows on 20th Feb? Will they then only collect on 20th March.
I'm fuming. Now they are going round fining people just takes the mick!!!
