| Barring Grand Finals, what are your favourite and least favourite memories from the play offs since 98?
I know the Bradford 07 game takes some beating but there was something about that 2003 game at Headingly (Tickle drop goal) Mike Gregory had us on fire at the time and it was just such an entertaining game. Carney scored 2 classics and that drop goal ensured we were first team to get to Old Trafford from outside the top 2. Great memories.
Worst memory for me personally was the anti-climax that was our first game at JJB against Cas. We were reigning champions playing in our new home for the first time against a team who had beaten us twice that season already, how much motivation did we need?
Vowels and Davies were outstanding for Cas that game. Just remember feeling empty on the way off the ground, possibly still coming down from the emotion of leaving Central Park.

| Leeds 2003 with both wins against Leeds in 98 worth a mention, together with Catalans in 08.
Worst those 3 defeats at Headingley in 04, 07 and 08 which incorporated our dire spell and blighted our comeback from it. Those 5 seasons seemed like a decade or more.
Perversely I enjoyed our defeat at Saints in 09 as we competed pretty well and even at the time it seemed to herald in a new era.

| Old Trafford 2010.
One of only a handful of big games I'll ever see my side play almost the 'perfect game'.
The week before @ Leeds was special also...

| The 2 Leeds games people are pointing out in 2003 and 2010 were the big ones for me. That win at Leeds in 2010 looks all the better after what they achieved last year added to the previous years.
The worst was Saints in 2000.

Hull 2007.
'"
The tackle that HH pulled of on Horne in the dying minutes of the game was an absolute classic. Horne had broken through and was about 2 yards from the line to clinch what would have been the match winner. Hansen from out of nowhere pulled of a text book ball n'all tackle.
The sad thing was that i knew we would get beat by Leeds in the next game. After the heroics against Bradford and the hysterical celebrations from the players and the fans, the celebrations against Hull were much more muted on the park. That was a beast of a game and you could tell that they had nothing left in the tank.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it was the only time i knew we would not progress. Usually i am a complete optimist when Wigan are concerned. If we had beaten Leeds it would have been a herculean effort that (imo) would have been one of the biggest achievements in playoff history.

I remember that like it was yesterday day too, clean through with Hull fans starting to cheer, then BOOM. After the next play the ball I think the hooter sounded.
As for worst playoff memories Leeds 08, we were the perennial nearly men. With the Best probably being the comeback against Bradford.

| That Hull 2007 game is one of my favourite ever Wigan games. Pure intensity from two evenly matched teams and some great tries (some awful 'tashes too ). The last 5 minutes when Hull battered our line for a matchwinner was proper heart-stopping RL, watched it back many times on Sky+ since.
Leeds 2010 has to take it though, as we deserved to be in the final and it finally signalled Wigan's return to the big time.
The worst for me was the Leeds 2008 defeat. I really felt we could get a win that night and with a bit more luck we would have. Headingley's a horrible place to lose a game at the best of times, but after the 04 and 07 defeats, that one was a real sickener. Those were long drives back over the Pennines!
