Last night during the match against Widnes I noticed in the second half that Sams left leg was very heavily strapped up. Then when he scored his try with a trademark crawl over the line (only he can do it) when he sticks a long arm out and plonks the ball down,he walked back and he was limping a bit.
Does this mean that he could get a rest on Friday against Bradford and more to the point mean that he will also miss the match against the Exiles next week,which in my opinion would be no bad thing.

As Finch was pulled out of the exiles match for a niggling injury I would expect Wane to do the same with Sam if that's the case.

I'd rest Sam on Friday without doubt. We can afford to drop 2 points more then we can afford to lose Sam for a semi final so it's a simple decision IMO.

I'd have rested Finch as well if Leuluai had been fit but we'll need him out there. I'd bring Sam back against Wakey and then rest Finch.

I didn't see Jack Murphy in the 9's side tonight so he might replace Tomkins if he's carrying a bit of a knock.

I also wouldn't mind Goulding being given a rest as he's had some strapping on his upper leg for a few games now.

Murphy could slot in at fullback and would save us calling Russell back from Hull only to have him back in our u20's in a couple of weeks.

Sam was limping for much of the second half. The strapping was applied at half time, so it'll probably be a thigh strain. I wouldn't risk him for the next match or two unless it's absolutely necessary.

No, the cup is paramount. I'd rather lose two league games and get to the cup final.

The team who's paying him £300,000 a year will decide for him I feel.
