Nice cheating by Featherstone at the end there - holding on to the ball for five seconds after the tackle had been completed to prevent Wigan getting the ball back. Poor referee.

We usually have Crosby playing who makes a big difference down the middle. Murphy and Crow also seemed to be absent which is a shame. We seemed to have a slightly weaker starting 9 than usual and it didn't do us much good.
It's a very young team so you can't blame them for having their first poor game in the 9's.

I think we went unbeaten last year in the comp only to end up going out in the semi's. As you say everyone can have an off night. Dare I say the players underestimated Featherstone. |
