Without trying to sound pretentious, we are half way through the regular season and from a Wigan perspective who do we consider has shown the form to be considered for the MOS shortlist.

For me we have a few particularly in the forwards.

Hock, Lima and Hansen have all been immense week in week out. Mossop is without doubt one of the form front rowers

Sam obviously will be up there and having a blinding season.

Obviously many of these wont be considered come the end of the season but we have some serious talent that has the potential to pick up end of season awards or make the dream team.

Just wondered what others thoughts were ????

Finch has been nothing short of outstanding this season

From Wigan I would say Finch or Hock at this point.

MOS is somewhat popularity and showmanship so just general hard work probably wont cut it, whereas Finch has been really showy at times as has Hock, only thing with that is how much other players do/dont like him lol

Morley or Peacock or Westwood will probably get it, due to anti Wigan bias as in the case of Rangi and Roby

Kevin Brown...hes been leading Huddersfield to victory week in wek out........ang on

Patrick Ah Van ?

I'd love Mossup to get it but he has missed a few games through injury. If he can stay fit though I still think it is more of a big name / glamour player who would get it.

Hock / Finch / Lima all impressing from a Wigan pov as well.

For us: Finch by a mile so far. Think him whining to the ref quite often will let him down though, probably doesn't go down too well with the opposition.

Would be gutting to see him win MOS and then leave for Stains

Thus far - Finch.

If we win at least one piece of silver wear this year I'll be surprised to see anyone else win it.
Somebody else Would need to have a blinding 2nd half of the season

6 weeks ago it would have been Dureau but Finch has now caught up and probably overtaken him in the running.

Theres an awful long way to go yet though and guys like Tomkins and Hock are certainly in the running.

Finch has been stand out but i've not seen many other none Wigan games this season tbf.

You've got to remember that the MOS is largely voted for on performances towards the end of the season. It shouldn't be, but it is. In theory, the harder grounds we have coming up (if summer ever comes!) should suit the quicker players and, in all likelihood, one from this number will be MOS. From Wigan, Sam is without doubt the strong favourite.

Based on consistency and last night's outstanding form McIlorum should get in the running, if not a nomination.

It will all depend on who Morley and Sinfield instruct their players to vote for.

Finch, Tomkins or Roby.

I doubt that anyone who deserves will actually receive it as its now voted for by the players. Sam deserves it and did do last year but I'll be very surprised if he gets it.

Sinfield will probably get it for guiding his team to 7th place and a friendly victory over a half pis*ed Manly team.

Superleagues best ever player....ha ha ha ha.

I'd have to say Hock is easily the best forward in the country this season in Defence and attack. His defence is viscous, and he's really matured with ball in hand. Doesn't force it now when its not on.

Stand out player & MOS gaz Hock by a mile followed by sam and Finchy

I would have to say Hock too. He is an absolute tower down the left for us. So destructive in attack and aggressive in defence.

Eden will get Young Player of the Year for sure, wouldn't mind him at Wigan and play him at 6

Lima. Lima Lima.... Has been wigans best player this year. Week in week out. Without fail.

Not quite yet IMO.
Not for a few years and not at 6.

Be interesting to see how he develops though. Looks a good prospect
