Just on the way back now. Really enjoyed it! It's an interesting facility with mud up to your ankles round the turnstiles, hardly and lighting and makeshift open air bogs but it all adds to it. Some new floodlights wouldn't go amiss either.

Great effort by the Fev team. There's were some really dubious calls throughout the night but still. They have some real skill and a cracking kicking game. I remember Finn ripping us apart at Barrow once and he was excellent again. I'm suprised he's never had a reap crack at superleague.

As tough as the Wire & Hudds losses tonight (ignoring the Widnes game as tonight we were almost full strength).

This is one relieved Wiganer. I do however feel we will get more out of this as we prepare for next week as opposed to Stains 76-0 drubbing.

I'm old enough to remember the games at Post Office Road throughout the 80's and early 90's, can't say we ever had it easy over there, even when we were in our pomp. Tonight was no different, a proper old skool match that I'm relieved to have won.

And yes, I was bricking it throughout the game, even up to the point where Gelling dropped the ball to make it safe where I threw the remote control across the room.

Finn has never played for Barrow, I think you're referring to Liam Finch. However Finn was superb tonight, tremendous kicking game.

Brilliant game of knock out rugby. Fev played well and were in Wigan's face all game. Only comfortable in the win with ten to go; thought the fev forwards were aggressive and that Finn had a stormer.

Wow was that tough!! Only a few minutes before kick off I'm thinking to myself, I really hope we don't blow Featherstone away for their sake. Come the thirtieth minute and I'm thinking boy do I wish we were thirty ahead.

Full credit to Featherstone they were superb.



I'm just thankful we went in ahead at HT. Had we not, then we could well have lost that match. I was so stressed that we could have lost, I had to sit in the car for five minutes before setting off home to gather my thoughts. One heck of a scare, and quite possibly the toughest game of our season so far.

Well done to Featherstone and their fans, I had a cracking night out.

The majority of Super League players should take a good long hard look at themselves after that quite amazing performance from the heart by those Fev lads.The whole of Rugby League should thank them for putting into perspective that Super league isn't the be all and end all of our great game.

Great performance from Fev tonight , really took it to us and gave us a bloody good run for our money ,

Thouroughly enjoyed that game. Brilliant. I won't pretend to the kids that's how it used to be every week but it brought back memories of the 80s/90s, when there was buckets of rough & tough as well as skill and athleticism.

Fev were fantastic tonight, could teach a few 'SL' teams a lesson.
