I believe the U18's beat Saints 34 - 6.

The 20s are playing South Wales aren't they?

That's a great result for the 18's.

U15s lost 16-31 in a scrappy game.

U16s won 48-4. The stand-off, full-back and no12 all had v good games.

Will take a look at 20s tomorrow. 16s and 18s have done well. Agree that half back and full back went well for 16s. 18s started well last night against saints and took a lot of pressure, defensively very good. Doran, Rooney, Tierney and Burgess were impressive, half back Williams was a bit stagnant and didn't move the ball much, Hampshire showed a touch of spark at times. Apart from a few frustrating unforced errors these look an exciting bunch.

A bit harsh on Saints in the U15 game. Saints pack got on top and they deserved their win.

Their pack got on top and they were worthy winners. I was speaking to some of the Wigan U15 players after the game and they were disappointed with their individual and team performance, too much lost ball being the main reason.

I think the final U16's score was 42 - 4 for a totally dominant Wigan side.

In the U16's game Waterworths passing, distribution and general decision making was first class. Amen, a hooker who can pass the ball from the floor



Connor Fairhurst in the second row was real handful and Saints struggled to hold him along with big prop Joe Bretherton they dominated the Saints pack.

However in best Bilko mode "Fairhurst, get a proper hair cut".

He has a mohican style yesterday.



In the U15's game Saints props and second row went well and caused a lot of problems for the Wigan pack.

Quick questions regarding the U20's is it likely to go ahead and with it no longer being a cup game is there a charge on the gate.

I've just asked Bilko the same question and he reckons the players are still "tweeting" as if the game is on.

I don't know if there will be a game charge though.

I hope we've got a decent centre somewhere in those age groups. God knows Wigan and British Rugby League in general could do with one.

I know Saints fans rave about Percival in their system.

How's Leigh's Chris Rowe doing on his season loan to you 18's?

I've been impressed myself the couple of times I've seen him. Looks a strong lad and of only four tries scored by forwards so far in our 18s, he has claimed three of them. Have to say though our 18s haven't been tested in any game so far it seems, so hard to judge fully.

Always thought Matt Crow, U20's looked promising as a centre, has pace, a step and is good in attack and defence though still a work in progress, will regularly break the opposition line and isnt greedy, but so far this season has spent a majority of his time warming the bench. Played 60mins up against Cudjoe in Lockers testamonial and kept him off the score sheet, appreciate it was a friendly but not many centres manage that. Perhaps now they have Gelling and Hughes, Wigan feel they no longer have to look for a centre, though Hughes I think is still a better option at 2nd row. I dont think they have learnt from their previous unsuccessful efforts to turn a 2nd row into a centre

Whats happened to that young Welsh lad we signed a few years ago?

I can honestly say that i have seen a few of these u18 and a few have showed good potential but alot seem to be unsung hero's ie, Josh Rooney, Johnny Brown - Rooney seems to have great strengh and speed and imo think Brown runs hard and great lines with great tackling - sometime i think the full picture should be watch instead of the few indiviuals but yep i agree a great set of lad with good potential

I can't think of any Welsh players that were signed a few years ago although I could be forgetting someone.

The two recent young Welsh signings seem to be going well though. Rhys Pugsley looks to have lots of potential from what I've seen of the under 18's while Rhodri Lloyd has been one of the better performers in the under 20's and has an eye for the tryline. He seems to score every week.

I wonder if the poster was thinking of Jamie Acton who was from London, and has now left Wigan to go and play for Oldham.
