Serious question. If someone did pledge £100 and the full amount wasn't raised, do they get their £100 back?
I'm sorry mate, I really do feel sorry for you but if some of your fans aren't willing to pay up then you've got very little hope of getting opposition fans to stump the cash up.

So what happens if half the people who pledge don't pay up?

| Like a lot of Bulls fans have said on their site there are a lot of questions need answering before you'd feel like you wanted to pledge. I mean if the current board have got them in this mess why would people want to throw more money there way?
The Bulls may be better doing a London of a few years back and quickly folding and reforming with a new board and no debt. They'd run the risk of a few players walking away for free but it's better then giving up rafts of cash to find that it matters little because the people in charge are still clueless.

The Bulls did this in the past when they were Bradford Northern.
I don't think the RFL will look kindly on them if they do it again.

| Anyone who pledges any money to the current mob mismanaging Bradford needs their head examining. It'll go into a blackhole and is unlikely to stop the club going into administration. The current funding problem has been because the idiots sold the long term lease on Odsal to the RFL, but that was the security RBS based their overdraft facility on and they haven't given anything else as security for the credit line. Muppets.

| Some Bulls fans were yesterday blaming the bank, when it appears that the problem is a little closer to home. Hood has admitted that he "didn't check" if overdraft facility was secured against the ground before sale. In all honesty, i would not give the people currently running the club the time of day.

| Its just a pledge, not a transaction, but it does raise an interesting question of what happens when the "debt" is called in Either way i think its small fry, fans arent the ones they should be targeting.

| I got told last night that the whole Leeds/Harris thing hit them really hard and with them not being in playoff rugby the last few seasons it's got worse and worse
I'm going to say the same as most people what happens 6 months down the line when the same thing happens?
The didn't let the players know about the situation cause they wouldn't be signing 5 year deals get the current owner out and get someone in who knows what they are doing

| i do feel sorry for Bradford fans, players and coaching staff but IMO asking fans for money is disgusting and in a sport where your finances are looked at to obtain a licence and this can still happen is an embarrassment to the game. I feel sorry for Halifax who on the surface look like they had everything in place

I agree, its very embarrassing for the sport, and very amateur like. They'll be doing bucket collections in Tesco next and have Mick Potter doing bag packing.

Something very fishy here, if they had an overdraft secured using Odsal as collateral, then RBS would have a charge on it, thus preventing any sale.
Anyhow what ever the truth is, I am in agreement with those that think the best course of action is to liquidate BB and start again with a clean sheet, pledging money to pay of an unsustainable debt is as ludicrous as the mexican trumpet call they used at restart kick off.

| Wakefield's old regime tried this to prevent them going bust and their fans didn't buy into it. Trinity seem far better off now with the new people in charge than they were under their past owners.
This pledge is just for the first £500k. What happens when they need the next half mill? Another pledge?
They are asking for £500k by 6th April which is a bank holiday. Even so hoping to raise £500k in 10 days is optimistic to say the least.
Two clubs into admin last year, Leigh on the brink and now the Bulls. SL and RL need financial structures in place to stop this shambles. If clubs want a licence then they must be forced to follow far stricter financial guidelines than are currently in place.
Rugby League can't carry on like this, surely?
