| Neil Cowie is the "Legend on the Line" during "Gerr'um On Side" on Wish FM between 7pm and 8pm tonight. The show which focuses mainly on Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and Widnes will preview all the weekends action.
You can here it on 102.4FM in Wigan or St Helens or on 107.2 Wire FM in Warrington or Widnes. Listen Online is [url=http://player.utvradio.com/wishfm=#FF0000player.utvradio.com/wishfm/[/url
I saw him in Kebab King up Wigan Lane a few month back. He is now very much a greying ginger! I still say mind you, what a disgrace it was that he never got a testimonial from the club in 2001! He was a proper unsung hero for 320 Wigan appearances. He should have got a testimonial for that Odsal drop goal alone!

| That drop goal was something else. Everyone was smiling at that, including Elliot!

| still think the best bit of that was the smile on Endacotts face and the massive grin on Tony Mestrov

| A good hardworking prop was Cowie and with his mate Kel Skerrett, the rougher it got, the better they seemed to like it !

| A rough and tumble front row of Kelvin Skerret, Martin Hall and Neil Cowie - great players all three.

| One of the most underrated British RL players of the last 20 years or so.
Cowie was a very, very good prop indeed and a great servant of the Wigan club.
I think the word legend is appropriate.

| When Wigan played Rochdale Hornets in February 1991 in the Challenge Cup, they slaughtered Rochdale by 70 odd points. Neil Cowie was outstanding for Rochdale that day and I'm sure he played his way into the Wigan club on that performance, cos he signed for Wigan shortly afterwards and never let us down.

| Cowie is yet another example of a player that was plucked from the lower leagues and did a great job for us. Players like Cowie, O'Connor, Panapa, Hall, McGinty etc all played for us in the 90s and none were big or established names before signing for us. Our dominant glory years were not about just signing big names or us being full time like fans of other clubs try to make out.

He certainly didn't do his rep any harm that day.
Henderson Gill was another that we signed from Rochdale Hornets.

Yes another excellent servant to the Wigan club that we signed from Hornets.
Where does Nicky Kiss come from ?
I have seen him in Rochdale town centre on more than one occasion some years back.
