Anyone know where will show the rugby as the football will probably be on in most places?

Walkabout will have the game on they always play Rugby League, it's a great atmosphere and always attracts good knowledgeable fans.

On a side note what do people reckon the pubs round about will have on? I'm going up Hindley for it but i'm worried a few of them might have the pointless England football friendly on.

I think they would have the England v Spain football on to be honest. I'd imagine it would have to be a small family owned pub who happens to be into Rugby, not sure myself but you would imagine Walkabout would have the football on.

Walkabout has a couple of systems so they could show both the football and rugby.

I think the football will be on the big screen tbh with the sound on but you'd get the rugby on a few of the plasma's.

Yeah I've watched Super League in Walkabout before when Man U have been the late kick off. They had the footy on the big projector but the rest of the screens were a 50-50 split between the footy and rugby. You might have to ask the bar staff to put it on if there's no other rugby fans in there though so make sure you get in handy for kick off. Football is generally the default setting in there

Your wrong they will have the Rugby League on they played a Super League game whilst the Manchester Derby was on.

we were in Manchester earlier but we sacked it off when it we realised everywhere was England v Spain friendly crazy.. watched it at home...... and loved it! well done to you English!

Hope you managed to find somewhere up here with it on. I had the same worry last night when I realised the football kicked off at half five. Hare and Hounds at the top of town had it on though, decent crowd in for it.

Cant get to the game next week so will have to watch it somewhere in Wigan. Anyone got any suggestions where the game will be on? Im abit concerned that most will have the football on.

Should've stayed mate, Darren Lockyer, Tony Williams and Sean Long (and a few others) were in Walkabout in Manchester last night. The last I saw of Lockyer he stumbled past me into the toilets looking hammered, Williams told me later he'd gone back to the hotel because he was too wasted. Williams was eating the face off some girl and set the record score on the punch machine.
