Widnes away would be my choice.

Saints away

Widnes or Salford would suit me. Id rather let Wane start against one of the lower teams rather than a big hitter first game out.

MM, Bank Holiday 1st weekend in June at Man City I believe.

Save Saints and Wire for good weather days.

If it has to be away then I would love one of the following.

Widnes - first to play them back in super league and sure to be a huge crowd.

Salford - first super league game in their new stadium, also sure to be a great crowd.

Warrington - apparently they will have been in Aus not long before.

Hull - havn't travelled well there for the last couple of years, would be great to see a huge following like 2007 play-off.


We will end up with Wakefield away on a horrible night. At least they will have a roof though.

Get back around 7 days before the start of the season after 3 weeks in Aus.

Rumour last weekend was it was Catalans away but theyve requested they play us in June instead as they will lose X amount of money because we travel well and the likes of the lower teams dont, so they want to lap up as much revenue as they can from us lot travelling over mid summer.

We're playing them there in a pre-season friendly in Jan so I'm guessing so!

Thought about this before if theres no MM and it goes to Manchester later in the season as expected, they should go for big games for all the clubs moving to new grounds / new super league teams etc.

We wont go to saints same as wire wont go to widnes though, as its too near to GF and these will be the GF games. Therefore Id go for something like this to get the crowds in;

Widnes v Us - 8k+
Saints v Wire - 18k sell out
Salford v Huds hopefully 8k plus
Broncos v Leeds hopefully 8k plus

TBH Catalans away in February would be a disaster!!

Erm, guess if we must be away would like it to be against a fairly poor team (no offence intened) like Salford or Wakey, rather than coming out swinging so too speak.
