| I certainly can't see how McGuire got any votes. He had a stinker of a game.

| Not a single vote for Delaney or Tommy L, but Sam and McGuire get 4 between them?
No way should Lima have won it, and those votes are just daft.

| INTRESTING, considering the poison dwarf (davies) in the BBC commentary reckoned Leeds were the better team only 8 out of 28 votes were cast for their players.......about time he was put out to pasture or at least watch and comment with an unbiased opinion

I normally have great regard for Jonathan Davies, especially since he was a great player in both League and Union for many years and I saw him play many times. Because he is Welsh he heretofore was never biased by club rivalry, and his comments were worth listening to.
Unfortunately, he 'stained his copybook' with his comments last weekend.
His whole demeanour on the BBC was woeful.
He sat there like a pre-pubescent teenager lolling over the furniture and with his ascerbic comments. (Maybe he was trying to look trendy and yoof-full ?)
It certainly broke the mould for my model on him and his image for me.

| Burrow getting 6 is fine by me. He was the reason the game swung towards Leeds in the middle part of it.
Glad to see Finch got some recognition because if you watch the game he is going for it non-stop throughout and put in some great and crucial defence.

| i think burrows was unlucky not to win it, he made the biggest impact on the game on both sides. It was just a pity he was let down by inept defending by other Leeds players. I must admit that I didnt think we played to our full potential though and that also let leeds into the game

| Looking at the stats I can see why Lima got it, 20 carries, 30 tackles, 0 errors and penalties.
I said during the game he was having a good one, as was Hoffman who had superb stats as well.

Lima put in some cracking hits also. I didn't remember them at the time (probably because I was so far away from the pitch). But watching the game back he put in some real bone crushers. I certainly thought he was deserving of the MOM, even if you tuck away his two tries he was still a stand out performer, and the best prop on the pitch.

| I thought that Jamie Jones Bishop would have been in with a shout, maybe if he hadnt have kicked the ball past Sam....
The thing that struck me about the post match analysis is the atmosphere, it was like a wake!
They were all clearly gutted Wigan had won instead of upbeat about the closest most exciting final for several years.

| Was very happy pre-match with my 16/1 on Finch but would've been happier if I'd gone with the 65/1 they were offering on Lima. Who ever voted for McGuire is obviously on glue.

Had Leeds won, he probably would have, but it's very rare that anyone from the losing side gets it. I think Sinfield was the last one, the year they played Hull.

I think I remember Robbie Paul winning it in 1996 as well even though Saints beat Bradford because he scored a hat-trick.

| I am a little surprised that Tommy Leuluai didn't get a mention anywhere. Would have got my vote. I assume the S. Tomkins and McGuire votes were filled in before the match by journos who thought it was a betting slip?

Agree. It's no surprise the vote is confidential when you look at who some of the muppets RL journos voted for.
