Hello all travelling down by car saturday morning and hoping to park not too far from the ground .Anyone have any good places to park that wont be a ball ache to get away from?

ps is it best to avoid the toll roads?

I recommend using the toll. The 50 through brum Is a ballache

For parking - Stanmore tube station is good - costs £1 ffor all day parking - but you have to be there for 9.30 or it will be full.

That said - there is a wetherspoons just up the road from the tube where you can get a breakfast and a beer at Northern prices!!

You can get a day rover for the tube (exclude zone 1) for less than the price of a return ticket that will get you to and from Wembley. More poeple seem to head for central London after the game, so you seem to be heading in the opposite direction to everyone else.

This has worked for me in recent years.

I would use the toll road it's a breeze and you can do the trip in 3 hours. Most of the industrial units let you park there for about £15. But the pop in parking is a good site to use and could save you some doller.

some of my Man City friends on 3 visits to wembley this year drove to Watford Junction train station and parked (free parking) and got the train to wembley which takes 16 minutes and costs a fiver, totally stress free and never saw a single queue of traffic on the way there or way back. (go to the back entrance of wembley central station on the way back, it avoids all the queue's)

Was quoted £27 to park on the official Wembley Car Park, so it makes sense to use these Industrial Unit car parks.

You can do M6 (No need to take the toll road if the matrix signs near Birmingham simply say "toll clear"...... if there are problems on M6 they will state as such). M42, M40, A40. Come off at Hillingdon and park here (big car park and about £2 all day at weekends -- many do). Take tube into Wembley.

for last 4 years I have parked on a catholic club car park (unofficial) just up the road from the Grey Hound pub everyone seems to congregate out of, costs usually £15 quid and just across road from stadium.

I presume you mean Watford Railway station not Watford Gap?

Driving down so early, havent got a clue on the route, dont know where to park, dont really care.
I notice both Ruislip Manor and Ruislip are a couple of stops away, so I'll park down there and tube it in.

Harrow and Wealdstone is decent with free unrestricted street parking just out of the town centre and 3 stops or so to Wembley, have parked there for a few Challenge Cup Finals and when the Swans were there in May.

We did that a few years back and it worked well, this year booked someones driveway near the ground for £15 as it's more cost effective for 4 of us

Morrisons car park in Queensbury. 20 mins off M1 junc 4. two stops north of wem....ber.....leee.
