Get him tutoring Charnley on some good wing play. Charnley had a great game yesterday but I would love to see him be more confident beating the man on the wing. He seems very scared of the touchline.

I fancied him for beating Wellens if he'd come inside simply because he's faster, but it was a great tackle to halt him.

Like I said he was class. But I still think he could use some more confidence.

Agree with that as well Cruncher. I think he went for the safe option rather than trying to beat him, he needed a step in or out and he would have beat him. I think we could have a little star on our hands. Saints fans were saying they were worried whenever he got the ball.

It was his son, he asked me to take a photo of them both on the pitch with all the Wigan fans behind them, they both thought the speccies were absolutely awesome, he still loves Wigan, and , the fans love him.

I wasn't even around when he played for us but I wish we had more characters like that in the game.

He seemed to be unable to decide wether to take him on around the outside or step back inside. If he'd have done either he'd have beaten Wellens I reckon but he ended up doing a half-hearted in-and-out and did neither. Seemed a bit indecisive once he'd made the break. That will come with experience I guess

Where was the big grin though? Disappointed! To be fair I bet a lot of fans didn't realise who it was - only old men remember him playing now!
