I would genuinely feel sorry for Wakefield, If were was in the same situation and it happened to us I would feel very disillusioned with the sports governing body. Harlequins are the obvious team to be demoted they offer very little to the sport.

I think part of the perceived injustice centres on Crusaders & probably Quinns.

Crusaders are getting low crowds and have lost their USP of proximity now they've moved to Wrexham. Quinns, to the naked eye, seem to offer next to nothing but there are some facts kicking around stating that more people are now playing RL in London than any other part of the country. Also there are rumours that SKY want them there, and SKY pay everyone in SL's wages so what they say goes.

Bad management and false promises have done for Wakey. Old chairman failed them, promises, lies, what he said he'd do, what he actually did.

I dont. They have had long enough to sort out this mess. More people are playing RL in London now than anywere else in the country so to say Quins are contributing nothing is ridiculous. End of debate.

I think 3 should go down and 3 in . Licences are to long of a wait just for 1 new club to come up . No incentive for lower tier clubs

If i'm honest I would probably say Crusaders to go down as well, unless they move back to South Wales. The potential benefits of a welsh side are greatly reduced by the current location (imo).

I think Wakey are grabbing at straws when it comes to Crusaders and Quins. It's not about them, it's about Wakefield and what they failed to do, even though they had plenty of time to do it.

Though I sympathise with the Wakefield fans (some of them), if they aren't demoted, it will make a complete mockery of the entire system.

They should have merged with Castleford and Featherstone all those years ago, as was suggested. Cas, though they're better than Wakey, are not a big club either. But if they'd merged, they'd probably now be one of the powerhouses of the game.

Im inclined to agree with a few people in this topic. Whoever gets the chop only has themselves to blame, they have had years and years to sort themselves out.

It's the fans I feel sorry for not their current or previous owners who have put them in this mess the fans were promised things and simply let down. It will be a long time till we see Wakey in Super League again I feel hopefully Leigh are the next to come up.

Living in the East Midlands, I wouldn't want another North West Team to be given entry at the expense of the eastern part of the country. Now that Crusaders are a 'NW' team, the expansion planners of the RFL would be taking a backward step.

today, we can actually see if the rfl have any guts, and if this 3 year licence stuff actually has any credibility, big big moment in rugby league this,
could make us a laughin stock or actually galvanise the sport.

I'd not be surprised to see Quins thrown out.
