Superb idea! More of these please!
Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce that they will be staging a Time of Our Lives event with Colin Clarke, Ray Ashby and Cliff Hill from the 1965 Challenge Cup winning side on Wednesday 22nd June.
This brand new event forms part of the Clubs Big One Week and will take place at Goose Green Labour Club on Little Lane, Wigan (WN3 6PZ) from 7.30pm.
The event will see the three greats reminiscing on their time playing for Wigan, particularly the 20-16 victory over Hunslet, and will offer a chance for fans to interact and quiz the players whilst rare video footage from the game will also be shown.
Wigan RL Past Players Association Secretary Ernie Benbow commented:
"This is a wonderful opportunity for fans to share the experiences of three Wigan heroes from this legendary Wembley final. Ray, Colin and Cliff will have some marvellous tales to tell of their exploits in the build up, during and after the game.
"These chances to hear about rugby league in a different age, with different conditions are limited and I hope that the Wigan public take this chance to support the evening in great numbers to help our Past Players movement."
Tickets are limited and are now on sale from the DW Stadium Ticket Office with all proceeds going to the Wigan RL Past Players Association who work to support past players in times of hardship or illness. Tickets are priced at £4, £2 for season ticket holders and members, and are also available by phoning the Ticket Hotline on 0871 66-33-552 or online at Warriors E-Tickets.
