Young winger Ryan king had been sent to Barrow on loan. He will be training with Wigan as normal but playing in the championship club to improve his game. Great news for the lad IMO

They certainly aren't the force they were about two or three seasons ago and with them sacking their coach it's a bit of a rough time.

That's not really fair. Barrow have one of the best squads outside SL, won the Grand Final in 2009 and although we 'only' finished 4th in 2010, we did knock Cas out of the Cup at The Jungle and gave Saints one hell of game at Knowsley Rd.
Lee Mossop and Jermaine McGillvary haven't done too bad since their stints at Craven Park.

It's a lot easier to recall players from a dual reg scheme with a Championship club than a loan deal with a SL club - and despite their performances under Schofield they're a pretty good side.

Ben Davies is going as well according to form.

Don't take this as gospel as I haven't watched him nearly enough as other people, but he is a very elusive runner, quick off the mark and has excellent acceleration. His cover defense has been absolutely awesome when I've seen him play and he seems very capable in the air when a high bomb comes his way. Excellent player.
