Yet another reason to wonder why anyone in the media ever asks Schofield his opinion about anything related to RL.

I wasn't convinced he knew that much even when he was playing.

Remember this is the guy who was trying to convince everyone he should be given the England job a couple of years ago.

By all accounts, one 'tactical briefing' session sealed his doom.



Perhaps him and Paul Cooke will now have time to start that Yorkshire Intellectuals' Club that they were dreaming about.

Future members will no doubt include John Kear and Richard Agar, both of whom will very shortly have lots of time on their hands.

His failure was probably the fault of our "wrestling tactics". I believe we put undue pressure on his coaching position

Surely there will be a place for French coach Bobbie Goulding.

We can always make him an honourary Yorkshireman as well. I'm not sure if he whinges enough, to be honest, but he was never the sharpest tool in the box, so that base is covered.

Technically I think Bobbie qualifies having played for the Giants and Wildcats. His attempts to apply the ideas of jacques Derrida to RL have gone down well in French intellectual circles.

Clearly talked as much cr*p to his players as he always has done in the media. Good riddance Barrow deserve better than him
