| Good to see so many Wiganers doing well for themselves but it's in the wrong code! These guys should be involved in the more "interesting and entertaining" rugby league instead of us gettin praised for producing so many influential figures in Yawnion.

| Instead of knocking Ashton all the time, we should be proud that, by playing for the Mighty Warriors it has helped transform him into the exhilerating young talent that he is!

| It's written like Wigan is a feeder club to Union.

| England's two best wingmen in the last ten years have come through Wigan RL's academy, Jason Robinson and Chris Ashton.

Something to be proud of, and ironically arguably our two greatest (Offiah and Boston) came from rah rah

| It's sadly getting to the point where League is becoming a feeder league for Union. Money talks.

| I suppose, at the end of the day, you have to congratulate the lads and their agents for finding a more direct route to fame and fortune than they'd have found in RL.
But I can't help feeling that celebrating this sort of thing is fiddling while Rome burns, or dancing in pursuit of the Pied Piper, or maybe even running towards the cliff's edge with all the other lemmings.
Choose whichever metaphor hurts you least.
Sorry folks, but Wigan providing RU's most exciting new talent is really nothing to be joyful about.

When it comes to Ashton I'm no that bohered. He is a better RU winger than he ever would have been a RL player so fairplay to him.
When it comes to Thornley and Eastmond... RL needs to do something really.

The thing people forget when moaning about the union converts. We did the same to them in the past so we can't exactly take the moral highground.
I have to be happy to see him it gets Wigan good exposure better exposure in national press than even winning the league gave us.

It does sound like you/we are digging your/our own grave and smiling doing it.
I don't agree with Deano, in his massive overhaul of the SC- the clubs can't afford it, but I think a rise in the SC would help and a restructure of the league for financially secure clubs to have a bigger cap. (2 super leagues)

| don't much care for ashton attitude wise, but to be fair, career wise he made the move and is now,in a very short space of time earning alot of money and making the national press, not only as he made a better life for himself but union are making a fortune promotion wise on the back of him.as much as i hate to say it,years ago the best players from union came to league to better their career, now the tide as turned and our players are going the other way.we we're profesional, union realised that and got more professional.the rfl stood still and it's gonna be a long time till we catch up.the change as got to come from the top.
