Can't say I'm surprised about Feka, fair play to Maguire for getting him into better shape last year as he's never been bothered enough any other time in his career.

IMO it looks worse than it probably was. Seen worse ones that have escaped unpunished.

IMO just because there was no real damage to the Crusaders player it does not over shadow the fact there was real intent on causing damage. Red card was the right call from Alibert.

Think he'll get a few games for that. Jack Hughes in our Under 20s was suspended for 8 matches last season for hitting a bloke from behind.

Schifcofske should have been binned aswell for chasing after the man, although it would have been pointless with 1 minute to go.

Again it didn't matter but notice how Alibert didn't stop the clock. It ran down the final minute whilst he was sorting it (would have been more had it not expired) - now if it was a tight game......

Whether he slapped him or punched him, a shot from behind is very dangerous and I thought the linesman did well to come on and make it clear that Godwin was the one who should walk for "a bad one".

If i'm honest I felt a bit sorry for Feka today, lumbering around in what was a pretty poor Salford team. He looks more unfit than he ever did for us, but for me his main issue is that he is almost never used in the correct way. He should be running from ten metres back and getting the ball at 3rd/4th receiver and putting his head down. Instead of getting it at 1st/2nd receiver, stood still 2 metres from the defensive line. I think Salford only put a man on his shoulder for the offload once, surely a coach signing him would make sure he was utilised properly. As much as I liked him playing for us, between him and Jeff Lima there is just no contest.

Do you mean he didn't stop the clock when they fought or when he talked to the TJ's? Players fight in their own time (a rule which I think is wrong to be honest, because the instigating team might want to run down the clock)

The players had stopped handbagging and were stood around waiting for the verdict and he didnt stop the clock

That would of caused a riot if it was a close game.

I was staying in the same hotel as the refs and i saw them having breakfast Sunday morning and Alibert looks just as gormless off the pitch as he does on it



As for Godwin that was such a cowardly act it was correct to send him off just for that. He should get a ban for that because hitting somebody when they cant see you to defend themselves is just plain wrong.

He certainly did do damage, it was right in front of me. However cowardly and unacceptable the act was, it was definitely out of character and some of the abuse he is getting is unacceptable. Especially as it's from people that have never experienced the emotions experienced when playing the game.
