Dunno but I remember a guy at Leeds the other year who just kept shouting "Come on Wig!". Now either he was an Eddie Hemmings fan or just watched on Sky and assumed the WIG on the score graphic was the name of our team.

Was this at Salford?

yeh he was in the wigan end . he was relentless it was quite amusing to say the least .

Was this in the seats or standing?
Did anyone hear the random "clap" "clap" silence .... "clap" "clap" silence ... ect they was sat right behind me proper annoying.

Two Salford supporters behind us were having a good laugh at him.

Must have been the same bloke who sat near me at Huddersfield a couple of seasons ago who every time we made a tackle shouted "smash 'im, hurt 'im" - and I mean EVERY tackle for the whole 80 minutes.

What about the man who used to go to the academy / reserve games at Orrell and every time Wigan scored would shout "That's the way to do it"

the secon phrase or word was simply , " PRESSURE " i am surprised the whole ground didnt hear him, he was sat up at the back of the wigan end.

I don't 'know' him as such, but I know the person you are referring to. He was yelling exactly that at Castleford away last year and it was absolutely hilarious. In quiet home matches, if you listen carefully, you can hear him from the south stand! Genius!

I must have been sat very close to you as the Salford lads that started it where sat next to me 2nd half ( I stood behind sticks 1st half but went into the stand to see a mate from Salford 2nd half).

The salford lads ( who were about 14/15/16) were taking the P at the Wigan fans clapping everything so when it went Quiet they clapped.
A few Wigan youngsters further along the same back row of the stand cottoned onto this and when the Salford lads did it, they waited a few seconds and did it.
Suddenly there were 6 or 7 groups doing it so we had a constant clapping noise coming from 6/7 different areas of the stand for about 10 mins!

I found it quite funny!

It was started by the Luke Patten behind the sticks, he was giving an encouraging clap to his team mates.
"Somebody" copied him and it started from there.

The "get him down", "pressure, pressure" guy was sat quite close to me. He is a keen Wigan fan and is always at the under 20's and under 18's games at Orrell. He makes himsellf heard there as well!
Many of you will have seen him at matches as he always wears what looks like a cowboy hat.

Think I know who you mean, he goes in the South Stand? Quite chubby? bit of a know it all, I was sat next to him once. Never again!
