Does anyone now of anywhere in Wigan and surrounding areas who are having a child friendly New Years Eve partiy. Really struggling to find somewhere to go to celebrate the new year with the children and babysitters are impossible to find this time of year.

Best thing to do is have a house party, only thing is cleaning up the day after, but i'd rather do that than pay double for drinks and taxis anywhere.

We went bolwing last year!!

Sounds silly but It was great. I think it was £120 for an aisle (up to 6 people) and that was yours all night (from 8 til about 1.30am) with a food platter- they had silly games etc. One was where if you had a red pin and got a strike you won some cheap champagne. The best bit was there was lane service so no queue for the bar. It was a really good night and great for kids and adults alike. They even had a Dj and kids games in the arcade bit.

For that you'd have to go into Mad Jacks, Queens is the local youth club - keeps the youths off the street on a Friday/Saturday, thus stopping trouble (until 4am'ish). Thats the only reason I can come up with anyway!

I remember being in there once, talking to a lad at bar and in general convo he says to me "How old are ya pal?" Naturally I replies with my age at the time, he replies "Oh reet, am only 13 me." (in his best chav voice) So I asked for proof and he showed me his U16 school bus pass. To say I was shocked was an understatement.
