Its a great speech. I mean O'Loughlin isn't fit to lace Ellery's boots talent wise (with all due respect) but when you think about it, it's the same shirt, its the same goal to win and its the same legacy. A champion player, is a champion player at the end of it all, regardless of talent.

That was/is simply awesome. Could you imagine hearing that in the changing rooms before a game, spine tingling! As if what happened with Terry Newton wasn't enough motivation for the day, hearing that aswell as whatever Faz & Edwards had to say would have been immense. No wonder we came out all guns blazing!
Offiah was my idol as a kid, we played the same position for a while so he was a legend for me, this just shows that he also has class! Exellent speach

I wouldnt let farrell anywere near wigan dressing room the union pr*ck makes makes me laugh with his son in union. He and edwards would probably advise and brain wash are young stars into going to union.

All 3 of them are Wigan legends, no matter what they went on to do after their time at our club

i can assure you im not an idiot. Farrell and Edwards would gladly take both tomkins and any of are stars they wouldnt give us fans and the game of rugby league a thought. There going round with rugby union people who will if they could shut league down. I wouldnt mind farrell and edwards but i cant trust them and if we lose players to them rl will be finished.

Offiah comes on tv and speaks about rl and gets involved with it. Farrell and Edwards never give the game a mention especially farrell. Seen edwards talk about league for 30mins in about 4 years at least.

So do think farrell or edwards would not try to bring sam tomkins and other lads to union do you not? I can tell you im wigan rl and rugby league through and through me pal i just dont like seeing rugby league look daft by having players and coaches leave to union and we give them a pat on back like there going up to the top now like they served an apprentice in league. There is no other sports that would let there stars leave and still bum them up after they go to there rivals.

Thats was a very good speech from Offiah and i agree with one of the posters above about faz n edwards would take our talent if we let them just look at Owen Farrell now and mike fords son (tom) i think thats he's name.

From someone who was in the dressing room before the GF, Edward's speech was spine tingling, rousing and motivational. He then went on to hand the GF shirts to each individual player in turn.
Not bad for someone who only thinks of union.
