I'm not a big fan of any Superleague club in particular. In fact to be honest I'm not a big fan of Superleague itself.

But I have been to Wigan twice since I've been over in the UK and I can honestly say I have never met a more friendly, helpful group of RL supporters anywhere this side of Sydney. The difference between the way people are in Wigan compared to London is amazing... whether its footy fans or people working in shops. Definately a memory I will take back to Australia with me at the end of the year.

Whether it was chatting to Wigan fans on the business park next door to the stadium, in the ground itself or in the Walkabout in town our group were made to feel very welcome.... despite being Aussies (and one kiwi) Even the parking attendants on the business park were friendly!

Good luck for the semi final against Leeds. I hope you get to the grand final and win it.

And with the signings your club has made for next year Wigan should be top of the pile for a few years to come.

Your pies were shocking.. but thats the only negative point I've got to offer from my Wigan experience. God only knows what 'meat' goes into those meat with potato pies

Love the fish and chip shops down under, totally different to the UK. You get to pick the type of fish you want and how you want them to cook it, nice and fresh and scrumptious.

You are probably thinking of the Haymarket Harrys... just up from Paddys Markets.

Easily missed even though its only about 25 metres off the main drag George St as its tucked round a corner and only visible from the Haymarket end

Well my mate Mike came over to stay for a few weeks and said the Wigan pies p!ssed all over the Aussie ones. Clever bloke that Mike!

I remember Doyle's Fish & chip shop at Watson's Bay, they were spot on



I have family and friends over in Sydney, been over 5-6 times, love the place.

god i could murder a pie right now, thats the one of the downsides to living in yorkshire!! no home-made pies, they have never even heard of butter pies up here......disgrace

dont judge the stadium pies on the rest of wigan, wigan pies in the market are amazing, but my altermate fav is Roberts's pies in golborne, simply beautiful everytime.

To be honest i didn't like them at all when i was there, the guy serving me wasn't to impressed when i told him what i thought.... that It tasted like a poor mans fray bentos



Doyles fish & chips were awesome though
