Going off his kicking display v Bradford when chasing the record, I'd sadly say the latter.

He has however kicked us to wins before (Bradford in the playoffs)

I dont think anybody would put the blame on Pat for the loss. It shouldn't have come to the point were we all had our hopes resting on a last 5 second kick by Pat. The game should have been sown up by that point, but hey on to next week we go!!

Maguire had EVERY reason to be crosser than Noble tonight, though.

Dobson hit one a few weeks back from the opposite side in similar circumstances, IIRC - if Pat had hit that tonight, I'm not sure I'd still be conscious right now. Would've been a massive effort, and really with five seconds left on the clock he didn't have any other option but to go for it. Can't and won't blame him for that one, the game was lost before then.
