| The reason we lost tonight. Only just got back so not seen the replay, but I'm pretty sure every time Stains got into our 20 they either scored or made a mistake themselves - the Foster knock on that should have been a try and another knock-on early in the tackle count. Might be being harsh but to not defend your line once the entire game when the opposition is in your 20 is extremely poor and led to some soft tries. Every time Stains got into our 20 they looked like scoring, and pretty much did.
Need Locky back asap to sort it out.

| Exactly, the Roby try was very poor from a Wigan point of view, I've not seen a replay but from memory there must have been 3 Wigan defenders in the tackle.

Was a poor attempt from Bailey but he wasn't helped by S.Tomkins completely buying Pryce's dummy.

| How on earth anybody falls for a Leon Pryce dummy is beyond me. Its his one and only move.

| what on earth happened to our up and out defence today? some people where coming up then staying still, others flying in and the rest sliding. we where all over the show defensively today and need to rectify this before the next match

| Saints did play well, but from my admittedly poor memory I think they really only got into our danger zone about half a dozen times which resulted in 5 tries and one they completely bombed.
Good incisive stuff from them but it doesn't say a lot for our much vaunted defence.
On the other hand when we were in the same position on their line we just couldn't break down their well drilled defence.
I think we are relying on one man drives too much, I realise that you have to win the physical confrontation aspect of the game but yesterday's game and the one against Leeds showed me that you need to do something different to change the course of big tight games like these and we didn't do that until it was too late.

| We always concede soft tries close to our own goal line when Locky ain't playing.
That said, we had plenty of opportunities to get back in the game well before the last ten minutes, we just fluffed them. Our completion must have been horriffic.

| Our defence was poor, but thats to Saints credit. They made life hard when we tried to bring them down, and we didnt go around the legs enough.
Its just a case of "any given sunday", maybe if it had happened again then the Richards pass from JT would have stuck and we would have won. Or maybe the Meli try wouldnt have been given - it all hinged on those little things in the game unfortunately. Lets hope they get a good rest today before spending the entire week doing defensive drills.
