gutted about the result,gutted I won't be taking my lad to his 1st cup final,but I've got to say hats off to the beeb,thought their coverage today was brilliant both pre match and post match,Dave hatfield and jon kear put the sky muppets to shame.if only we could watch coverage like this every week.

ok apart from pundits(who personnely I thought were pretty good)you can't agrue that it was a pleasure to watch a game with a proper pre match build up and a good half hour of post match interviews.one thing what really does my head in about sky is the fact that as soon as the final whistle as gone and the've given the cheap wine to the man of the match thats it.If I were a new to the sport I would want more than that,I want to know about the history of the cup.I want to know what it means to the players and supporters to get to the final.I want to know if next year why I wont renew my season ticket for Liverpool,Everton,Man U because there is a better game right on my doorstep.rugby league is so much more exciting than most sports that people decide to spend their money on,why don't we let them know what is on offer,for me sky sports doesn't do us justice and I think the beeb would do a better job

Sky operates to peak time slots, and so they want the next event to start at 10pm. You can watch the post-match waffle, if that's your thing, by pressing the red button.
Anyone who would wish the BBC to take over from Sky must want their head examining. The BBC will give rugby league a decent slot because there is nothing else on. Where were the HD cameras? What if it clashed with kick and clap? Would the BBC have a mid-week programme on the game? Would the BBC show a game at peak time on a Friday evening? Of course not.

Have you thought that the only reason the BBC is making a proper fist of rugby league is because the Challenge Cup might come off the list of protected events that must be shown on terrestrial television. The BBC have always regarded rugby league as just something to put on when the yawnion is between internationals. Now that they might lose it, they are doing a better job, but not a patch on the Sky coverage. If Sky lose rugby league, the game goes down the tubes, because the little money there is drops out of the game, and we get reduced to a once-weekly magazine programme, probably on BBC2 on Sunday mornings.

I used to be a BBC basher but what's the point, they are showing us at least.
Imagine if the people at the beeb just said "sod it, they do nowt but whinge when we put the highlights on at stupid O'clock and then when we put a full game on they do nowt but whinge again"

Solutions

1) Watch game with sound off
2) Watch game with sound off and radio commentary
3) Whinge and moan and write an email when they start to NOT show it
4) Go the game
5) Go the game and listen to the guy next to you swear like a trooper and get into a fight outside the ground
6) Sack rugby off completely OR convert to Union so that you can watch them play Australia and actually see your team win

The BBC's RL coverage for pre-match previews and build up and post-match analysis is 10times better than Sky's SL coverage.

Sky's SoO coverage was superb, why can't they do something like that for SL matches? Sometimes it feels as though all Sky want to do is show the match and get it off because Tennis is on.
