Excellent work from Mick Hogan and the team, its so pleasing to see these sort of things in place and working. The rest of SL should really be taking notes.

Unexpectedly, more positive views have come from Wire and Saints fans. Many have been quick to point out that they would defend Wigan's right to attract larger crowds in this way, though they always add the caveat "even if I don't personally like it".

think they where sold at 4 quid a ticket or thereabouts, so its still gonna bring a small amount of revenue in, and if it means new fans paying to come again in the future then it's a great idea!

I know exactly that they PURCHASED 4k tickets. I'm not classing tickets distributed by the company as general public.

I class myself as public. No links to the company + so will have to buy my own tickets MYSELF as FULL PRICE + in PERSON down at the stadium....

It's a positive story. 14000 tickets, whatever way you want to look at it have been sold for what is traditionally one of, if not the, least attractive fixture of the season.

Yes, me and my family don't have season tickets but have our quins tickets in advance so it is possible.

My opinion is that with 4k given away (ok, not literally but u get my jist) I'm hoping we have more than 14k on the night. Get me? Not negative. Just hopeful that as our entertainment has gone up this year, I think our attendances could reflect it!

Full stadiums, be it fully paid up season ticket holders, walk up to door paying speccies or freebies who cares as long as they are full and people are enjoying the game? Really ?
If little clubs only attracting pish poor attendances like Salford are the ones apposed to this then you must ask yourself
"What the point in having these clubs run by people with no ambition" ?

Quoting the word "Purchased" on a certain football site in Wigan, to counter their staunch belief that these were freebies has just gotten me a ban!
